"Take a the elevator to the 5th floor, all the way down, make a right at the first water fountain there should be a double door at the end of the hallway. That's where the meeting is being held"

My heels clicked against the floor as I was running late, on my second day. I think I overestimated how tired I was yesterday.

Even when I got back to the dorm everyone was already sleep, I however, wanted to study the names of patients that I was assigned to and their medical condition.

I check my Apple Watch for the fourth time after turning a corner, 11:34:56. My heart pounded as I sped to the doubled doors at the end of the hallway.

I opened the doors before walking inside to see multiple nurses, and doctors sitting looking a Mr. Lee who was standing up by the board.

It was a conference room.
They all turned and look at me making it more embarrassing for me, my eyes made contact with Woo-Jin who struggled to hide his smile at me.

I swallowed hard before nodding and walking inside, I closed the doors behind me.

"Good Morning, Miss Anderson. Happy that you can join us, next time try to be on time" Lee tells me causing me to slightly smile and nod.

I walk past multiple female and male doctors who look at me, trying to find a seat. Of course the only empty seat there was, was next to Woo-Jin.

I pulled out the chair before sitting down, next to him looking up to Mr. Lee as he continued speaking.

"we need a discuss a few more things for we end today's meeting..."

"Wow, princess. Late on your second day?" The voice of Woo-Jin says causing me to exhale.

Princess.

Was he literally going to call me that?

I ignore his comment, looking back to Lee, "recently we were sent help from the states..." he pauses.

"Maya, if you would stand up for a moment"

He calls me out once again. I slowly stand up from my seat, "everyone this is maya. She and a group of other skilled doctors from Duke University in North Carolina was sent here to help out. She will be joining Dr. Seo side for a while" Mr. Lee states.

I hear multiple groans and wines from the woman, especially the woman. Causing me to look to Woo-Jin who had already been looking at me.

"She was also the nurse who stopped the suicidal patient yesterday.." he adds. Not sure why they was necessary but okay.

They began clapping, applauding me for such excellent work. It was only my second day here and people have already recognized the type of person I was.

A passionate individual willing to even risk her own life to save someone who needed it most.

"Maya, if you want... you can say a couple of words"

I look around the room, "I... look forward to working with all of you. I hope you guys can give my team and I a chance to prove that we belong here. Thank you" I say before taking my seat.

"Nice speech" Woo-Jin whispers.

"Did you know that you're really annoying?" I whisper back to him, finally giving him my attention.

"Am I?"

He asks sarcastically. I roll my eyes facing Dr. Lee again.

"Today, we have a group of investors coming to look out the hospital, hopefully willing to invest money into us. We are also in need of more hospital beds, supplies and staff." Mr. Lee states.
