Chapter Twenty Seven

Thank God that this Warner Thompson was hard headed and got away from her watch to follow Archer. He saved Avi's life and she can't thank him enough for that.

Weeks had passed and she just continues to backing  up for her team. Just like now. She had led the extraction team to back up with Avery's mission, but the ending didn't turn out so well, leaving Archer unconscious because she was shot

The two of them brought her back to the HQ and had Striker to check on her.

"Good job, Agent Sniper!" Bati sa kanya ni Einstein. "For leading the extraction team and for helping Archer."

"If it wasn't for Thompson, she'd be dead by now and I won't be able to forgive myself, because I was there but I let her go alone to run after Hanes and his men." Aniya na bumuntong hininga habang napaupo sa sariling upuan sa loob ng kwarto nila.

"You just did what you were told to. And Archer did what she needs to do and she knows the risks behind it, so it isn't going to be your fault if something does happened to her." si Hacker.

"He's right." Ani naman ni Chief na tinapik siya sa balikat. "You take some rest and I'll go check Archer." At saka lumabas na ng kwarto.

Naiwan silang dalawa roon at saka siya  pumikit para umidlip ng saglit. Pero nagising siya at napadilat nang biglang tumunog ng malakas ang alarm sa buong headquarters nila.

"Fucking shit!" Bulalas ni Stewart kaya niya nilingon ito. "Someone's trying to breach our system!" At agaran itong nagtipa sa computer sa harapan nito.

Nagkakagulo na rin ang lahat sa labas ng kwarto. Bumukas naman ang pinto at saka pumasok roon sina Dagger at Striker.

"What's happening?" Tanong ni Krae.

"There's been a breach in our system." Sagot niya at muling bumaling kay Stew. "What are you going to do now? How do you suppose to stop this?"

"I'm shutting our system down and build the firewall again to flush out the intruder." Anito at ilang saglit pa ay tumigil na ang malakas na tunog ng alarm.

"What just happened? How did they enter our system?" Takang tanong niya.

"The real question is, who did that and why?" Si Dagger.

Natahimik lang silang lahat at nagkatinginan. Maya-maya pa ay narinig na lang nila ang isang anunsiyo mula kay Einstein na magkakaroon ng isang malawakang meeting mamaya pagkatapos ma-iayos muli ng mga computer geeks nila ang system at ang firewall para hindi na ulit makapasok ang nagtangka.

"Damn it! I can't believe someone just penetrated the firewall I designed. It supposed to be impenetrable!" Hindi makapaniwala ang tono ni Stewart.

"Maybe that person was a genius like you." At nagkibit balikat pa siya.

Sinimangutan lang siya nito pabalik dahil ayaw nito na nalalamangan pagdating sa ganitong bagay. Ito kasi ang pinakamagaling sa buong ahensiya pagdating sa mga computers.

Nang dumating na ang oras ay natagpuan niya ang sarili kasama ang ang mga agent ng buong ahensiya para sa isang meeting. Sakto at kagigising lang din ni Archer na tumabi sa kaniya.

"Mabuti naman at nagising ka na, okay na ba ang pakiramdam mo?" Tanong niya rito.

"Yeah. I feel a lot better now. Thanks to Striker." At saka nilingon si Yasi na tumango lang rito. "What happened? I heard the alarm before I passed out." Tanong nito sa kanya.

"Someone has breached our security system. Hacker and the other computer geek agents are still trying to find out who was it and how did they get to enter our firewall." Bulong niya.
