Chapter Twenty Nine

Morissette groaned when pain kicks in upon slowly opening her eyes. Still disoriented and feeling dizzy when she tried to pull her hands but had failed to free herself.

When she looked around she saw that all of them were chained up as they formed a half circle so that they can see each other clearly.

Halos kagigisng lang din ni Archer gaya niya pero ang nga kasamahan niyang lalaki ay nakikipagsagutan na sa lalaking nasa gitna nila.

Nasa likod ng lalaki ang limang taong nakagapos sa mga upuan. Si Einstein, ang mag-asawang Sanford, ang dating chief of staff na si General Suarez at ang isang lalaki na tila may malaking pagkakahawig sa kay Krae.

Nilibot niya ang kanyang paningin na para bang may hinahanap siya. Hindi siya sigurado sa nakita bago siya mawalan ng malay pero kilala niya iyon.

Si Maxwell ang nakita niya na nakatayo ilang dipa mula sa kanya habang nakatingin lang ito roon. Nagtataka siya dahil imposibleng naroon ito dahil hindi nito alam ang misyon nilang iyon at kung totoong naroon ito ay dapat natulungan sila nito at hindi sila napunta ngayon sa ganitong sitwasyon.

She feel helpless when she can't even move her body properly. And seeing her whole team being captured like this, makes her feel worthless when she can't do anything to rectify their situation.

Is this the end of their whole team? Is this where their mission leads them? to their deaths? And if it is, then they will all die with honor. Just like their organization's motto and secret code.

May sinasabi ang lalaking nasa gitna na hindi niya gaanong maintindihan dahil medyo nanlalabo pa ang paningin niya at nahihilo pa nang bahagya dahil sa tinamong hampas sa ulo.

"What do you want? Why are you doing this?" Narinig niyang tanong ni Hacker.

Ngumisi naman ang lalaki.

"Revenge." Sagot nito habang isa isa silang tinitingnan. "That's what I want. I want all of you to suffer the way that I did when you took someone so important to me." Anito na ikinalito niya.

Hindi niya kilala ang taong ito at sino ang tinutukoy nitong tao na kinuha nila mula rito? Baka may kamag-anak itong kriminal na napatumba nila kaya ito naghihiganti sa kanila.

"What are you talking about?" Sunod na tanong naman ni Ryder.

"There's been a conspiracy going on inside your organization. It has been compromised for years and you haven't even noticed it. There were some people who learned about this secrecy and even found evidences. But just like any other serious situation, they must eliminate threats. Threats who can exposed them and their involvement to some illegal shits!" Seryoso at may diing wika nito.

Nagulat siya at hindi makapaniwala sa narinig. Imposible ang mga paratang nito sa organisasyong kinabibilangan niya dahil walang ginusto ang ahensiyang ito kung hindi ang mapanatili ang kapayapaan sa buong mundo. Tumutulong sila sa mga naaapi at sa tama at mabuti lang sila pumapanig at kailanaman ay walang puwang sa kanila ang kumampi sa mali.

"You're lying!" Sigaw niya.

Hindi niya matiis na hindi magsalita at ipagtanggol ang ahensiya nila dahil hanggang sa huli ay mananatili ang katapatan niya rito.

Umiling naman ang lalaki.

"I know this is hard to take but it's the truth. I understand how you feel because that's what I felt years ago. I don't want to believe that S.I.A.T.T. can betray its people and that they let some bad people to control them. They've used your organization to cover them and to eliminate some targets like competitors in their businesses. And when one of the agent found this, he was killed on the spot." At lumakad pa ito palapit sa kanila. "That's why I did what I had to do. Revenge."
