Did you want to risk everything for your relationship? Ben has been there for you through the worst moments in your life.

*memory*

You lay on your bed, completely lost in thought, before you began sobbing to yourself in despair, in the dark, until eventually, your sobs turned back into silence and contemplation. After a couple hours of lying down in your depressive state, you heard your front door open.

"hey-o" you heard Ben say walking to the kitchen, but you didn't respond. You just didn't feel like it. To be honest, you hadn't really noticed he'd come in.

"y/n?" he asked, noticing your light was off in your room. You still gave no response. He appeared in the doorway of your room, squinting his eyes to see if he could find you in there. He switched the bedroom lamp on and he could see you curled up in a ball, staring straight ahead at the wall in front of you. He could see you had been crying based off of your puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"y/n" he said, hoping for a response but you stayed silent, your gaze still fixated on the scratch on the wall. It had become a comfort to you in the past hour.

For Ben everything was completely silent in the apartment, but to you, your thoughts were much louder than Ben's voice.

Ben was really worried now, he'd never seen you like this before. He kneeled down on the floor next to your bed, averting your gaze to his face. "hey" he said in almost a whisper, trying to get your attention. You suddenly moved your gaze to meet his, and let out a long breath that you'd been holding in.

"they're gone Ben" was all you could say. It came out a lot weaker than you intended - your voice cracked and broken from all the crying.

"who's gone?" he said, brushing the hair that had stuck to your tear-stained face behind your ear.

"my parents" you began crying again, but turned your face into your pillow to muffle the sound.

Ben was in shock. He loved your parents and he knew how much you loved them, despite the fact they thought you were dating each other.

"how...how did this happen?" he asked breathily, tearing up at your words.

"car crash" you said, bluntly, taking deep breaths to try and calm down. None of this felt real. You kept feeling like you were going to wake up, and this would have all been some horrible dream. You wished that was what it was, but you knew it couldn't be. Everything was too exact.

Ben didn't need to hear anymore. All he knew was that he had to be there for you. He climbed into your bed next to you and pulled you onto his chest, snaking an arm around you and holding you close to him.

*present*

He always knew how to make you feel instantly better, even at your lowest points. Simple gestures like that - letting him know he was there for you but wasn't going to press you - was what you loved about him. If you lost him, you would definitely lose it.

Eventually, Joe turned up and picked you up taking you back to his. Your pin curls were slowly beginning to fall out, so you quickly rushed to your room to put your dress on before they all fell out.

You slip your dress on, matching it with a pair of red heels, and adjusting it to fit you perfectly. You then remove all the pins from your hair, letting it all fall down. You run your hands through your hair to loosen the curls slightly, and you are finally ready to go.

You hear a knock at your door. "come in" you shout, admiring your reflection in the mirror. You never got to dress up all fancy like this for anything, and it was kinda nice to see you looking so glamorous, considering most of the time you wore sweats and no makeup.

Ben appeared in the doorway. He felt it was now appropriate to say something. "wow, y/n...you look...bloody amazing" he said, eyes wandering your body. It was then Lucy's words echoed in your head.
'Well shouldn't you find out'.

"thank you" you blushed, but luckily the makeup probably covered it. "Ben I actually wanted to talk to you about-" you started, but Joe appeared next to Ben.

"hey, we're leaving now, the limo is here" he said, smiling. "wow, you look great, y/n" he said, before disappearing.

"what was that?" he asked.

Your sudden confidence boost had now vanished. "oh nothing, it can wait" you said, walking to the doorway. Ben raised his arm for you.

"thank you, half pint" you said, linking your arm with his.

"I'm not small, for the millionth time y/n" he laughed.

"not with those four inch heels you've got on" you giggled.

Ben pinched your waist in responded before leading you out to Gwil and Joe, then you all headed out to the limo. You sat to Ben's right, Ben sat to Joe's right and Gwil sat in the front.

When you arrived, you linked arms with Joe walking down the red carpet with them. It felt surreal to be there in person rather than watching from you TV screen at home, envying everyone who walked past. It was nice to know that you were now the one being envied by millions at home. Although the press were probably going to be confused as to why you were there with Joe, considering there had been many, many fake reports that you and Ben were secretly dating.

You arrived inside the seating area and took your seats for the award ceremony, waiting in anticipation for it to begin. They announced all the nominees for best actor getting to Rami, and when they announced he had won, you squealed clapping your hands excitedly.

When he got up he kissed Lucy multiple times before collecting his award, you couldn't help but glance over to Ben. The moment between Lucy and Rami was so intimate and personal and you realised that's all you wanted for you and Ben - to be that happy together. Rami went up to collect his award and began to thank everyone involved in the film before he got Lucy.

"Lucy Boynton, you're the heart of this film, you are beyond immensely talented, you have captured my heart. Thank you so much" he finished.

You glanced over at Ben while he said this and he simultaneously glanced over at you. You immediately looked down to your lap, blushing. For a second you thought he might be thinking the same thing, but you quickly dismissed the thought, not wanting to get your hopes up. Little did you know, he was thinking that he felt the same way about you.
