"Hey, hey!" Cameron scurried down the stairs, oblivious to my agreement to speak with Madison. Protective Cameron showing once again.
"It's okay, it's okay." I calmed him, his expression showed confusion.
"Cameron-- I just want to speak with her. No big deal." Madison was surprisingly nice.
She's got to be possessed or something.
Cameron was about to say something, but he didn't.
"I don't know about this." Cameron muttered to me, his eyes looking back and fourth between Madison.
"I fucking swear, if you come back crying to me, I'm going to fucking kill Hayes." He whispered.
I hope to god that Madison can't hear him, I'd be embarrassed.
I smiled at his angered face, "Thank you for sticking up for me." My hands pressed against his chest.
"It's kind of my job." He didn't smile, it was more of a weak expression that was noticeable in his eyes. He kissed my cheek, turning to Madison, giving her the stare. I hid my smile, walking off and outside with her.

"This is a nice house your uncle owns." She dryly said. We sat outside on the smooth concrete steps, fog escaping my lips each time I exhaled. It's October, and it's freezing. I love it.
"Yeah." My response was short to her, but what else was I suppose to say?
"Oh thank you Madison, you're so sweet." Fuck that.
"It's chilly out here."
"Okay, we both know we didn't come out here to have a friendly conversation-."
"Uhm-"
"Listen Madison, I'm stressed out. I can't do-"
"Jessi-" she tried saying.
"It's just that I have so much pressure on me, and if your here to piss me off-"
Her voice raised, "Jessi!"
My eyes widened, and I could feel my heart beet quicken.
She half smiled, "I'm not intending to piss you off, Or cause any unnecessary drama."
"Okay." I gulped.
"I apologize." A tear slipped from her eye, and ran down the side of her cheek.
"I'm a bitch." She dryly laughed, turning her head away from me.
I couldn't say that she wasn't, because then I'd be lying.
"It's okay. The drama between You, Cameron, and I can end."
"No, Jessi, I'm sorry." Her eyes showed sympathy, "I'm sorry about your mom I'm so fucking sorry." She cried.
"It's okay." I whispered, looking up into the sky, holding in my tears.
"And I'm sorry that I almost came between you and Cameron. It was stupid of me." She flung her arms in the air, "I just-.."
"Say it." I said.
"No, I can't." She shook her head.
"Madison-"
"I loved him."
Bitch what.
"Did you guys- date?" I gulped.
"No, no." She shook her head, "Of course not."
"I've always liked him, but he's never felt the same. I made up this fucked up rumor that we kissed, and that we were, ya' know, a thing." She whispered, "But we weren't."
"Madison, I'm sorry." I shouldn't be apologizing.
"No, don't say you're sorry."
"I don't know what else to say." I admitted.
"I just wanted to tell you this, so that you'd understand."
"But wait- what's about Hayes?" I asked.
"I like Hayes." She laughed through her tears.
"He's the reason why I came to my senses and apologized to you. I was childish for all of the things I've said to you in the past. And, I just wanted to let you know that-- I didn't here a rumor that you and Cameron ha sex. I made it up. I wanted to make you mad, and I did." She nodded, and I was smiling to myself because she has no idea that we have done it.
"Thank you. This was really nice of you to do this." I smiled.
"It took a lot of guts-- trust me." She admitted.
"And I need you to know, I don't love Cameron like I did. My mind is fully set on Hayes."
I grinned from ear to ear, "good."
"And you and Cameron are a great looking couple, you have an awful lot of people jealous of you. That's one of the reasons why you'll get hate. Trust me, I get more hate than anyone around here." She huffed, and I didn't respond.
"Should we go back inside?" I asked through gritting my teeth, "I'm freezing my ass off."
