Two weeks later.
______________I finished the daily cleaning, falling onto the leather couch that I've grown to love.
I usually clean before Cameron wakes up, so that whenever he does, it'll be to a clean house.
Most of the time I cook breakfast. Sometimes, I go all out with it. I'll cook biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, etc. But, sometimes I'll just throw bread into the toaster, spread butter and cinnamon onto it, and call it breakfast. It depends on what kind of mood I'm in, really.
My phone rang from the kitchen counter, and I scooped myself off of the couch and practically ran to where it was.
"Hello?" I breathed out.
"Hey Jessi." Charlie.
"Hey! How are you?" I laughed, excited to hear her voice.
"I couldn't be better, what about you?"
"I'm honestly great. I think moving back here to New York was for the best, and even though a lot had happened the first two or three days, everything is fine now. I like it here."
"That's so good!" She chirped, "What's the devil doing?"
"Cameron?"
"Duh, who else is there?" She laughed.
"Sorry, I'm stupid sometimes. But, He's still sleeping."
"Damn, tell him to wake up."
"I'm not that rude."
I heard footsteps behind me, and when I turned around, he was there. He stood tall, his brown eyes glowing into mine.
He took the phone from my hands, "Charlie, I'm actually awake." He smiled.
I couldn't hear what she was saying, but Cameron was smiling and that's all matters.
His black basketball shorts hung from his hips, his upper body exposed. He was always a mess in the mornings, but I kind of liked his hair the way it is. I like messy hair.
"She'll call you later." Cameron said to me as soon as he ended the call.
"Oh, okay." I frowned, "Did you sleep good? I did."
"Yeah, I did." He said, "What are the plans for today?" He asked.
I was blank, I never really do anything. I clean. Yes.
"We could visit Diane. I know you haven't seen her in a while."
"Shit." I muttered to myself.
"What?" He asked, making his way into the living room and lying down onto the couch.
"Nothing. It's just bad that I sort of forgot all about her. I'm ashamed."
"Hey, you've had a lot on your mind." He turned the channel when I joined him on the couch. He knew I hated watching basketball, how sweet of him.
"253." I licked my lips, "You know you love lifetime movies."
"Actually I don't." He smiled.
"Then why do you watch them?" I raised my eyebrows, laying down by his side.
"Because I'm with you while I watch them, and I like being with you, darling." He sarcastically smiled, "I promise you if you weren't here right now, this wouldn't be on the tv screen right now."
"But, I guess it's better than Pretty Liars."
"You mean Pretty Little Liars?" I chuckled.
"Listen, I'm not Matt fucking Espinosa, I don't watch the show okay." He laughed.
"Shut up." I playfully groaned, lying my head down onto his chest. Honestly, I don't pay any attention to the movies whenever he turns them. I secretly watch him while he watches them, it's entertaining actually.
The movies are honestly really cheesy, and I love seeing him role his eyes every five seconds when something stupid happens.
"You should called Diane and let her know we are coming." Cameron suggested, pushing my hair out of my face.
"No."
"Jessi."
"Let's just go to her house, and if she isn't there, we can visit another time."
"And what happens when she opens the door and sees us unexpectedly? She might be busy doing something-"
"Then we'll leave." I smiled. I don't wan't to call her honestly. She'll think that I want something or that I want to stay with her.
"Whatever you say." His head pressed against mine.

We knocked twice on her door, and it felt like ten minutes before someone finally opened the door.
A young girl who looked around 15 or 16, opened the door. She kept her head down low as if she was hiding something, and her body shook.
"Hi-" I began, "I'm Jessi-"
"I know who you are." She kept her head down low.
"Is Diane here?"
"Yeah." She nodded, still.. Still keeping her head down.
I don't know if it's just me, but I find this girl weird as fuck.
"Can- can we see her?" I raised my eyebrows.
She took a minute before replying, and when she did, it was more of a whisper.
"Sure.."
