Chill was surprised when Carmine and Robin got back. He expected at least Carmine to be sad. Instead, she was the most angry he had ever seen a dragon be. And Robin looked terrified. But Chill would be terrified too, if he had to face this dragon. Seal walked out of the bathroom and noticed the SkyWings.
"Well, how'd it..." the IceWing's voice trailed off when she caught a look at their faces.
Wordlessly, Carmine passed her a folded up piece of paper, smoke pouring out of her nostrels in thick black clouds. After Seal read it, an angry expression grew on her face as well.
"Mommy, what did it said?" Chill asked.
"Don't worry about it," she replied, trying to calm herself down. "Both of you, go play." The two dragonets went off to Chill's room to do as they were told. After a few minutes, they got bored.
"We should find somewheres else to play," Robin said.
"How 'bouts outside," Chill replied, looking out the window at the cloud filled sky. The clouds were fluffy and white, and Chill knew that that ment it would be cooler out. "The clouds looks happy. I don't think theys going to cry soon. They looks greyer when theys 'bout to cry."
"Sure, but if theys cry on me, YOU has to make thems happy," Robin exclaimed. Chill didn't want to have to be the one to make the clouds happy, as he knew he'd have to do the happy cloud dance, but he agreed anyway. The two rushed over to ask their parents, who said it was okay as long as the two came back in when they called. Excited, they raced outside.
"Comes on," Chill lead her over to the small backyard behind the house. It was full of long, straw like weeds. The two played tag, hiding and creeping up on each other in the weeds. It was all too soon when Carmine called them back in. She was still extremely mad, but tried not to show it, failing miserably at that. Dinner was quiet, the only sound was of them eating. Normally the four would be talking, Robin and Chill talking in their broken dragon language, while Seal and Carmine chatted between themselves.
Dinner was finished quicker than normal. Not wanting to make Carmine even more mad, the two went to bed without a sound. Chill didn't mind sharing his bed with Robin. The two were quickly becoming very good friends. But that night, Robin seemed very tense. She was rolling around in her sleep, something she hadn't done before. Right as Chill was debating weather or not to wake her, she rolled right onto his side of the nest. Her back touched his. As it did, she seemed to calm down. All her muscles loosened and she stopped rolling around. Now Chill really wasn't sure whether to wake her. If he did, she might start rolling around again. He decided to just deal with it. It was only for one night. But little did he know this one choice would affect his whole future...
