The MudWing siblings hated Chill, but that was also starting to rub off on her. Oak seemed disgusted that she still hung out with him, and the others kind of agreed. They had started to stray away from her, and they said they were moving away soon, back to the Mud Kingdom.
"Hey," Torch grinned. He had become a new good friend, and, like Slush, he was quite adventurous. He made her laugh, and was the class clown. Everyone seemed to like him.
"Hey," Robin replied. She was sat on a grassy patch, watching other dragons play. Torch sat down beside her.
"I heard your MudWing friends don't talk to you anymore after the one died. If you want, I can introduce you to my friends, Tupelo and Summer," he offered.
"Oh, sure," she replied, interested to meet these new dragons.
"Okay, one sec. I'll go get them," he walked off, coming up a few minutes later with a MudWing and a SkyWing-SandWing hybrid.
"Sup," the hybrid said, smiling, her black eyes shining, but Robin's attention was transferred to the MudWing as he shook her talon.
"Hello, I'm Tupelo," he said excitedly. "What's your name?"
"Hello, I'm Robin," Robin grinned.
"Nice to meet you. I can tell you will make a good friend. Am I talking too much? I feel like I am. My dads joke I talk too much."
"Dads? You have two?"
"Yup. I was adopted by a gay SkyWing couple when all my siblings passed. They didn't make it past hatching, and the one, besides me, that did, passed only an hour later. A birth defect from our mother, I suspect. Anyways, what class are you in? You look younger. I'm in the third grade class."
"Oh, I'm in second grade," Robin replied.
"Okay, big guy. Don't suffocate her with questions," Summer pushed the dark brown dragon out of the way.
She had paler orange scales, with SandWing wings and SandWing shaped head. The rest of her body looked SkyWing. She was taller then Torch, but only by a little bit, looking about three.
"Anyways, I'm Summer. Nice to meet you," Summer smiled. "Can't believe you get along with this big lug," she pointed to Torch, who looked offended.
"How dare you," Torch grinned at her after a moment.
"Just be glad I don't have Shore with me," she jabbed her tail at his chest.
"True, true," he shrugged.
"Don't mind these two " Tupelo said. "They've been friends for since I've known them, and I've known Summer almost all my life. Summer's always traveling whenever she can with her dad and little sister. In fact, her sister made her that bracelet," he pointed to a brown bracelet made of woven fabric she had around one talon. "I'm supprised they still do that, travel, I mean, considering her mom died on one of their trips. Dragonbite viper got to her. Shame, she was a nice dragon."
"Oh, hey Shore!" Summer called out suddenly. A SeaWing-SandWing hybrid came bounding up to the group. She looked mainly SandWing, but with a blue underbelly, and a tail that looked as if it had been removed directly from a SeaWing and sewn on her, minus the small barb on the end. Her eyes were obscured by a pair of dark, black tinted glasses.
"Hey, Shore. This is Robin," Summer pointed to her.
"Oh, hey Robin," Shore said.
"Hey. I like your glasses," Robin replied.
"Thanks. I call them shades, because they provide my eyes protection from the sun," she replied, tipping them down so Robin could see her deep blue eyes. One had a large pinkish tan mark over it, a birthmark. "I also think they look cool."
"Nice," Robin replied.
There sure were a lot of dragons here to befriend.
