Lemon moved carefully. Robin was pressed against his one side, while Ceiba and Mantis shared his other. He didn't want to wake them up.
"Oh, hey, someone else is awake," Extravagant said, looking over to him. She was curled up on the edge of the vegan restaurant's roof, where the owner, Orange, had let them nap with her. It was a sort of garden area, with grass and fruit bearing plants.
"You look sad," Lemon stated. His friend's scales were a mix of blues and blue-greys, and everything about her posture said she felt down.
"I just had some time to reflect on life, because I was the only one awake. I'm fine."
"So, Extra," Lemon went on, sitting beside the other RainWing. "Isn't this place lovely?"
"Meh. It's alright. I'm not a big fan of the cities. I prefer trees and fruits," she replied. Her scales shifted to soft pink, while keeping some blue in them.
"Well, Robin says this isn't much of a city. It's a town. And it's full of scavengers! She said they have a pet scavenger at home!" Lemon smiled.
"Ya, but I guess we have to wait for her to wake up to see it," Extra gestured her wing towards the sleeping orange dragon.
"But MOM!" A tiny dragonet voice shrieked from below them. Both RainWings looked down to see a chubby, bright red SkyWing dragonet and his mom at the door to the restaurant. "I don't WANNA eat healthy!"
"You need to," the mom said in a tired voice. She looked at the restaurant, noticing the two on the roof. "Ask those RainWings up there. They'll tell you fruit is good."
"Oh, ya!" Extra called back. "Fruit rocks!"
"It's so good!" Lemon added. Then turned back to Extravagant. "Just not kiwis."
"Why don't you like kiwis? I understand almonds, because of your allergy, but kiwi?"
"It makes my tongue feel itchy," Lemon shrugged.
"I agree! Kiwi is gross!" A very dark red SkyWing with a pink underbelly yelled from above, circling the two.
"See, HE agrees!" Lemon pointed upwards, shaking his talon as he did so.
"Ooo, you're RainWings!" He said, landing beside them. Now that he was closer, Lemon noticed his back was covered in dark pink triangles.
"Yes, I'm pretty aware of that," Extravagant said in a sarcastic tone."
"What are your names? I'm Wildfire, or Fire for short. I'm not very wild," he chuckled.
"I'm Lemon, and this is Extravagant, or Extra for short." Lemon smiled, his scales, like always, ignoring his brain and turning a happy yellow, with stripes of curious blue.
"Can you turn any colour I say?" He asked, sitting down.
"I can, he can't," Extra replied, rapidly changing her scale colour.
"Alright then," rubbing his front talons together. He then proceeded to name very specific shades of colours, all in which Extra turned with no trouble.
"Who's that?" Robin asked, her head people poking up. Most of the other RainWings were up, as well. Canopy, like always, was sleeping in.
"I'm Wildfire. I'm just visiting here to see my grandpa." He stated. He was taller then Robin, probably a year older.
"Oh, so like us," Honeydew called over. "Except were visiting our friends, not grandparents. We've only been here a few hours."
"Oh, I'm leaving tomorrow. I got to go soon. My grandpa is going to take me to get frozen treats. You guys should write to me. I like RainWings!" He replied, pulling a scrap of paper out of a tiny red bag on his back ankle and handing it to Lemon, then two more for Extra and Robin.
"Okay. See ya," Extra yawned, placing the paper beside her.
"Bye, hope to see you all soon," he grinned, taking off.
"That was odd," Lemon said, reading the paper. It held the red dragon's address, as well as his name and a small smiling face.
"So, anyways, who wants to see my pet scavenger?" Robin asked.
"What's a scavenger?" Canopy asked sleepily, raising his head.
