#48 HunHan-I Miss You

This is slightly different from usual. Its an OTP thing, but it won't happen again. Written a few days ago when I just needed to get all the pain out. I hope you all enjoy.

Sehun watches as Luhan trips over again. Somehow, Luhan just can't get the steps right. And unlike the usual days, Luhan doesn't get up. He just lies there limply, like he doesn't want to live anymore.

Oh Sehun pulls his friend up gently. "Luhan, you can do this. I'll help you." Luhan doesn't say anything, just hugs Sehun tighter than usual. Just a tiny bit tighter.

"Luhan! We're debuting! But you're in M, and I'm in K. Promise that we will still drink bubble tea together?" Luhan laughs at Sehun's childish question, and he nods.

A year has passed, and Luhan still drinks bubble tea with Sehun whenever he can.

"Hyung, we'll always be together, right?" Sehun's innocent question leaves Luhan's heart hurting a little, but he still replies. "Yes. You and I, we'll always be together. Forever." Sehun smiles and goes back to drinking his bubble tea.

It's Exo's third year. And Kris leaves. Exo is grieved by this, but Xiumin, Luhan and Suho have to stay strong. For their dongsaengs. And especially their maknaes. Xiumin and Suho have to pacify an uncontrollable Tao, who sobs every day for a brother lost. Tao is almost hysterical at the loss of his favourite brother. D.O and Kai don't say anything, but sit quietly beside each other all day. And unusually, the placid Oh Sehun cries for his Kris hyung.

And when Sehun comes to his room on the middle of the night, Luhan doesn't say anything. He strokes the hair and pats the heaving back of the sobbing younger one, and the crying stops gradually.

"Hyung, you won't leave me like this, right? I couldn't bear it if you left." he whispers, his voice tired from sobbing. Luhan smiles sadly. "I won't, Hunnie." Sehun shuts his eye and drifts off to sleep, right there on Luhan's lap. And a tear falls on his head. "You can bear it, Sehun. You can," Luhan's whisper is barely audible, and Sehun is fast asleep.

Five months later, the news is out. "EXO Luhan rumored to have filed lawsuit; wants to nullify contract," And while the drama goes on, Luhan stands in the dorms one last time, as a member. He knows he'll never see the dorm again. Never see D.O being 'Satansoo'. Never see Baekhyun hugging Chanyeol. Never hear Suho's nagging. Never see Chen trolling Tao. Never see Xiumin and his baozis. Never see Kai teasing Lay. And worst of all, never see Sehun drink bubble tea with that innocent smile. He will never see the maknae. His maknae.

As he hugs his sobbing members in turn, he himself fighting to hold back tears. Sehun is nowhere to be seen. And when Luhan heads out of the door, he feels a pull on his hand. He doesn't need to see who it is; he instantly knows the hand he's held for years. "Sehun," he whispers.

"Hyung! You said you'd never leave me! You said we'd always be together! Forever! As one! You lied! Don't leave Hyung. I can't take it. Please, Luhan. Don't go. For me." Sehun is not the usual poker face Luhan knows, he's a wild Sehun now. His words come out in short, jeky bits, and his eyes are gleaming suspiciously. He clings on desperately to Luhan's jacket sleeve, refusing to let go even as Suho tries unsuccessfully to drag him away.

"Let him go, Suho." Luhan says wearily and Suho steps back to join Exo. "Hun," Luhan's voice has turned into a whisper, and tears are finally clouding his sparkly eyes. It hurts him to see his favourite dongsaeng cry and pain like this. "Hun. Listen to me. I'll always be with you. Always. I'll be in your heart, like you will be in mine. I'll cheer you, just not on stage. I'll call you everyday, promise. And maybe someday we can meet again. We'll drink bubble tea together, ok?" Sehun buries his face deeper in Luhan's chest. He knows Luhan has to go, but he doesn't want to accept reality.

"Yes. We'll drink bubble tea. We will. I'll cheer you on, hyung. I'll put you in my heart. Only I can't hold your hand when I'm cold. I can't hug you anymore. Or see you laugh. I'll miss you hyung. I'll miss you." Luhan pulls Sehun in for a last tight hug. "And I'll miss you too, my little Hunnie. We'll meet soon."

And with a last ruffle of Sehun's hair, Luhan steps out again. Out of Oh Sehun's life. Out of Oh Sehun's reach. Sehun collapses to the ground in a sobbing mess, but he smiles when Luhan gives him a last small wave.

"I miss you, Luhan."

"I miss you, Sehun."

And as Luhan shuts the gate behind him, Sehun feels like a chapter in his life has been left hanging. But it will never finish, because their love for one another is forever. And he will always hold dear the memory of the deer with a soft smile that no one else can wear.

A/N: The first two days I was just numb and blanked out. But on the third day, I read about how Sehun unfollowed all of Exo, because he didn't want to unfollow Luhan only. This last moment of HunHan, is the best HunHan moment to me. Sehun has to grow up now. He doesn't have his Luhan hyung by his side. He's probably feeling awful now, and I hope he'll be better. The story is just how I imagined it to be. Maybe it isn't that way. But one day, I hope HunHan gets to meet up. I hope they get to meet as brothers in peace. I miss seeing Luhan with Sehun.
