You headed over to the Starbucks to meet Alex, sighing happily.

"Hey" you smiled as you noticed him already sitting at a small table.

"So heard about your work on the news" he smiled, his eyes drifting off to the barista, giving him a suspiciously friendly nod.

"Oh... um yeah" you stuttered slightly surprised, you didn't know why but your instinct where telling you something was off.

"Do really think you can catch him? You think you can get Xale" he said with a sparkle in his eye.

"Honestly I don't know" you lied for no reason, you had a hunch that you shouldn't tell him anything.

"Oh..." he smiled, and looked back at the barista, and shaking his head lightly, so lightly you doubted you would have even noticed it if you weren't trained to look for these things.

You played it off as if you noticed nothing, and continued on the date with an odd suspicion of Alex.

It was when you where heading home from the otherwise amazing date a off handed thought ran across your mind, Alex's diner is pink and white.

It didn't necessarily mean anything, yes it was an odd color scheme for a restaurant but not dooming evidence. But it didn't help his case.

You grabbed your phone and called the office, "I have a new suspect..." you whispered as you walked quickly.

"...I'll be in the office in 10minutes" you mumbled as you head over there. When you walked in you eyed the room to find your coworkers.

"Who?" The detective asked.

"Alexander Elmslie" you sighed as you hurried to a desk to work on paperwork.

"His favorite colors Pink and White, he has motive, lived in the same part of England at the same time as the attacks, has a lisp and he's had odd behavior" you mumbled.

"Odd behavior?" The detective asked.

"He had people watching us and ready to attack if I said I had a suspect" you said not making eye contact with the man.

"Well check it out" the officer said hurrying to the other.

Two months later

"The criminal Xale has been confirmed to be Alexander Elmslie, and has been taken into custody this morning" a new anchor said.

"He was caught by Lead Detective Y/N L/N, cousin of the famous Bruce Wayne" another anchor said as you turned off your tv with triumph.

"I told you" you said looking over at the dark figure in the corner of your room.

"Now I want a cape and a whole super hero outfit" you giggled.

"No, you don't know how hard this job is" the deep harsh voice rang out.

"Oh shut up, you wear bat ears and punch things it can't be that hard." You laughed.

"Being the Dark Knight is..." you cut him off before he could finish.

"Hard and takes responsibility" you mocked him, "ayy come on Bruce, Joker can't fight both of us."

"Fine" he said under his breath.

"You're my favorite cousin"
