[musical boy wants to chat]
[accept✔️ decline]

corbyn pressed the accept button, eagerly waiting for the gorgeous sunset to come across his screen. he was excited, being a space lover extended into his love for sunsets and sunrises, he tried to never miss either of the natural wonders.

his expectations weren't met once daniel's striking blue eyes met his own, a smile etching his cheeks.

‘hey dani,’ he spoke, running a hand down his blonde locks.

daniel waved, a metal wall visible behind his head.

‘where are you?’ corbyn raised an eyebrow, he thought daniel was going to the roof of his apprtment buiding.

‘in an elevator,’ daniel responded simply.

the blonde's eyes widened, nodding sluggishly. ‘please don't tell me you're stuck in it like zach and i gotta get you out.’

a loud chuckle escaped daniel's lips, placing a palm to his forehead. ‘don't worry corbs, i'm only getting to the roof from it.’

‘good.’

silence settled in, corbyn's eyes drifting out of camera view. his orbs shone with curiosity, the purple of his hoodie making the boy look absolutely iridescent. daniel couldn't help but think he looked unquestionably precious.

daniel broke the silence. ‘you look adorable, corbyn.’

corbyn nearly jumped out of his seat on his bed, alarmed. ‘w-what?’

‘i said you look adorable. also, purple looks good on you.’

no words could possibly come out of corbyn's mouth, so he just stared into the blinding illuminated phone, watching daniel climb up a few steps, opening a creaking door.

that's when corbyn saw it.

the sunset.

it gleamed behind daniel's head, the small view of it was stunning. shades of pinks and oranges effortlessly mixed into coral transitions, the sun ever so slowly lowering into the ground.

‘woah,’ corbyn muttered, exasperated.

‘it is actually kinda nice now that i'm looking at it better,’ daniel shrugged, lifting the screen for corbyn to get a better angle of the astonishing scene.

corbyn's eyes didn't leave the sunset, he was marveled into a world of admiration. ‘yeah, told you so. these are even prettier than the ones in virginia.’

you're prettier,’ daniel mumbled incoherently, relieved that corbyn was so mesmerized he hadn't heard.

the brunette sat cross-legged on the roof for minutes on end until the sun was no longer in view, and the once peach sky took on a mystical blackened hue. he flipped the camera to face himself, though it was so dark corbyn could barely make out his features.

corbyn now remembered how tired he was, yawning loudly whilst wrapping himself in blankets.

‘you tired, corbs?’ daniel questioned, already knowing the answer.

‘mhm,’ corbyn replied drowsily.

daniel grinned gently, in awe of the boy shown atop his small device. if he could, he would've snuggled the hell out of the blonde.

but he knew he couldn't, so he chose his next best option.

‘corbs, want me to sing you to sleep?’

the thought made corbyn's heart beat unevenly. ‘yeah,’ he murmured practically inaudibly, just loud enough for daniel to hear.

the brunette watched corbyn lay down, placing his head onto a pillow and his phone directly in front of his face. quite a sight for daniel.

he happily took a deep breath, beginning to sing.

used to be scared of the ocean
cause i didn't know how to swim
i took one sip of your potion
now i'm just divin' right in

i heard your siren's call, it was beautiful
i am drowning, but, please don't save me

‘i'm in too deep
can't touch the bottom with my feet
don't know what you did to me
i can't breathe but i'm living
i'm in too deep
can't touch the bottom with my feet
don't know what you did to me
i can't breathe but i'm living’

not even halfway through the song, corbyn had dozed off, his lips parting slightly, small snores leaving his mouth. he looked precious.

‘night corbs,’ daniel cooed, ending the call with a heavy sigh.

all because he knew the song was right. he was in too deep.
