A few hours later

Laura:(wakes up looks around and sees more machines and wires attached to her) (groans and sits up)

nurse:(walks in) Oh good morning Ms. Marano

Laura: Morning? (looks at the clock and sees it's 7:00am) Um nurse, where was everyone else that was here?

nurse: They've all left except for one young man who refuses to leave

Laura:(smiles) Can you send him in please?

nurse:(nods and walks out)

Laura:(fixes up her hair waiting)

Ross:(peaks his head through the cracked door)

Laura:(smiles) Hey Ross

Ross:(smiles) Hey beautiful (walks in holding a bouquet of flowers and get well soon balloons)

Laura:(laughs) Awe Ross! This is so sweet of you

Ross: It's the least I can do after making you pass out

Laura: You didn't make me, my dad did

Ross: Don't blame your father, I had part in it too

Laura:(shakes her head) No, my dad shouldn't have spazzed at you and it's not your fault

Ross: well someone's got to take the blame

Laura: And it should be Maia, not you

Ross:(sighs) Whatever, let's skip this conversation (puts the things down sitting wuth her)

Laura: Where's everyone else?

Ross: They went to get some real food, unlike this hospital food

Laura:(giggles)

Ross:(Smiles looking at her) And how have you been today? (holds her hands kissing them)

Laura:(blushes) Good I guess. I just want to get out of here

Ross: Well our plane isn't till Friday and it's Wednesday

Laura:(Sighs) So long

Ross: I know but it's for your health

Laura: Will you stay here with me?

Ross: Of course Laura, always (kisses her cheek)

Laura:(smiles) I love you Ross

Ross:(smiles but then looks down at the ground) Then why did you run away?

Laura:(sighs) I'm sorry I just thought I was a distraction to you

Ross: Of course you're not a distraction. You're my passion and I love you with all my heart

Laura: But--

Ross: Rydel was being stupid but now she's sorry and Maia, who cares about her. We can ignore her our whole lives if we can

Laura:(nods) I guess you're right

Ross: We can even run away together if you want

Laura: What?

Ross: I just want you to have a happy life Laur. No drama or hate or anything. Just us and our future family

Laura:(Smiles) That's really nice Ross

Ross:(smiles)

Laura: But I'd rather do it with people who love us, not hide away

Ross:(nods) I just want what's best for you

Laura: I understand and thank you

Ross: You're welcome (leans in kissing her)

Laura:(smiles kissing back)

Ross & Laura:(make out for a while)

2 days later *at the airport*

Laura:(asleep on Ross's lap)

Ross:(Asleep holding her)

Maia:(looks at Ross & Laura in envy)

everyone:(but Ellen) (asleep)

Ellen:(looks up from her book looking at Maia) Maia stop staring, it's not nice to stare

Maia:(rolls her eyes crossing her eyes)

Ellen: Why are you still holding a grudge? You should be happy for your younger sister finally finding love

Maia: What about me huh? I've finally found love

Ellen: You didn't even know Ross's name when you first liked him

Laura:(wakes up but doesn't open her eyes eavesdropping their conversation)

Maia: Well have you even know about love at first sight? Bc that's what I had for Ross

Ellen: But it doesn't matter anymore. You'll find plenty of other guys sweetie, you didn't have any problems with it back in Italy

Maia: That's bc I didn't meet Ross

Laura:(tears up)

Maia: Look mom, I'll pretend to be happy for Ross & Laura's relationship but in the inside I'll be shattered, to see the guy that I love with my sister

Ellen: Maia--

Maia: And when I have enough money, I'm gonna be buying my own place to stay

Ellen: Maia, stop this right now. I know you aren't really in love with Ross honey, you're just thinking you are

Maia: But I am mom. I love him more then I loved any other boyfriend of mine. I love him with all my heart, I'd even give up my life to be with him... which wouldn't make any sense but you know what I mean. The point is, is that I love Ross and there isn't gonna be anything that changes my mind about it bc I actually do love Ross. I do mom

Laura:(tears up more)

Ellen: Honey, think about your sister

Maia: What about her? She's pretty, talented, amazing! She can get a boyfriend just like that

Ellen: But she won't have the same love she had with Ross

Maia: No she won't, she'll have a bigger love. Way bigger then you can ever imagine

Ellen: But--

Maia: Mom no. It's either I have Ross or I move out

Ellen: Why are you being so stubborn Maia?

Maia: Bc I'm fighting for what's mine, I'm fighting for what I love and that's Ross

Ellen: Honey, you're being unreasonable

Maia: I'm just speaking my mind mom. I always have to be under Laura's shadow, it's not fair anymore, I can't take it. I want something that I can finally have as my own, something that Laura won't take from me

Ellen: She's not taking anything from you, you're taking the number #1 thing that Laura loves. What kind of sister would you be if you stole your little sister's love?

Maia: You're seriously making me the bad guy here mom? I thought you're on my side

Ellen: I'm not taking anyone's side, I'm speaking my mind. Maybe yeah I am picking Laura's side but I'd pick her side more then yours bc you're thinking of yourself and not others

Maia: I'm thinking about Ross & I. I'm thinking about our future family

Ellen: How do you even know if that'll happen?

Maia: I'm Maia, mom. I can do anything that I set my mind to

Ellen: But Maia--

Maia: Enough mom! I'm done with this conversation. It's either you love me or not at all

Ellen: Well then I guess not at all bc you're being a selfish little girl!

Maia:(slaps her)

Ellen:(tears up holding her cheek)

Maia:(Gets up walking away)

Ellen:(wipes her tears away letting it go and reads her book)

Laura:(silently cries into Ross's chest thinking about everything that Maia said)
