,,Welcome to the riff-off!" Justin, a former Treblemaker, says to every group that is standing here right now. The BU Harmonics, the Treblemakers, the High Notes and of course the Barden bellas. ,,Our 17th annual singing elimination contest. The winning team wins the greatest prize of all." He holds up the microphone. ,,The microphone used by Sebastiano when they rocked out at the Schnee Performing Arts Center." Who? I don't know what he's talking about and I don't care. I watch everyone very closely. Miley is with us right now and I don't want an enemy to take her. ,,To win, you must steal the song away from the group that is singing by picking off a word of their song and making it the first word of yours. If you can't think of a song, you are..." He claps twice. ,,Cut off. If you repeat a song, you are..." Now more people clap with Justin. ,,Cut off. If you suck, you are..." Now everyone joins him, even Chloe and the others of our group. ,,Cut off." I see Jesse looking over to me.

,,I'm taking you down." He mouths and gestures to me, but it doesn't bother me.

,,I don't care." I mouth back to him and Justin continues.

,,Last year's ICCA champions, will you please do the honor?" Bumper steps up and spins the wheel.

,,Good luck. God, I wish I could do what you do again... okay, the first category of songs will be..." The wheel stops and lands on "Ladies of the 80s". Everyone cheers. Bumper immediately starts singing Toni Basil's, 'Mickey' and the other Trebles join him.

,,Oh Mickey you're so fine, you're so fine you blow my mind. Hey Mickey!Hey Mickey! Oh, Mickey, you're so fine -" The song is quickly stolen by Barb and the BU Harmonics who sing Madonna's, 'Like a virgin'.

,,You're so fine and you're mine, I'll be yours till the end of time, cause you make me feel... yeah, you made me feel, shiny and new. Like a virgin. Hey! Touched for the very first time. Like -" Now Aubrey steps up and steals with Pat Benatar's, 'Hit me with your best shot'. I have to admit it sounds nice, but that's only because Chloe joins her with the other girls.

,,Like the one in me. That's okay let's see how you do it! Put up your dukes, let's get down to it! Hit me with your best shot! Why don't you hit me with your best shot! Hit me with your best shot, fire away-" A member from the High Notes steals with Roxette's, 'Must have been love'.

,,Away! It must have been love -" She laughs hysterically. She's clearly high, just like her group. ,,But it's over now! Must have been love-" The crowd starts to boo and Justin cuts in.

,,The negative effects of medicinal marijuana, folks. You are..." He claps twice. ,,Cut off!" I turn myself to Chloe.

,,You can pick any song that works?" Chloe nods. ,,And you just go with it?" She nods again. ,,Nice." Justin spins the wheel. This time it lands on 'Christian Rock'. Barb jumps in with 'One day'.

,,Because, all my life I've been waiting for, I've been praying for the people to say that we don't wanna fight no more, they'll be no more wars and our children will play. One day, one day, one day..." The crowd starts another boo and Justin steps in again.

,,One day by Matisyahu. Bonus props for trying to sneak a Hasidic Jew into the Christian Rock category but, you are cut off! Two groups remain!" And it's true. Only the Treblemakes and our group still stand. He spins the wheel again and it lands on 'Songs about sex'. Cynthia-Rose and Stacie immediately start to sing Rihanna's, 'S&M'.

,,Na na na na come on. Cause I may be bad, but I'm perfectly good at it, sex in the air, I don't care, I love the smell of it." I don't sing with them. All those songs are bad and I have to keep an eye out for any enemy. ,,Sticks and stones may break my bones but chains and whips excite me. Cause I may be bat but I'm perfectly good at it, sex-" They get cut off by Donald, who starts singing.

,,Sex baby, let's talk about you and me. Let's talk about all the good things and the bad things that may be. Let's talk about sex baby-" Now Stacie takes over again, with 'I'll make love to you'.

,,Baby all through the night I'll make love to you when you want me to and I-" Jesse steps forward and takes over with Foreigners, 'Feel like the first time'. He sings it to me, but he shouldn't do that. I see Aubrey roll her eyes.

,,I guess it's just the woman in you, that brings out the man in me. I know I can't help myself, you're all in the world to me. It feels like the first time, it -" Okay enough! I jump in and run up to him, to sing in front of him.

,,It's going down fade to Blackstreet, the homies got RB, collab creations. Bump like acne, no doubt. I put it down, never slouch. As long as my credit can vouch, a dog couldn't catch me ass out. Tell me who can stop when dre making moves, attracting honeys like a magnet, giving them eargasms with my mellow accent. Still moving this flavor, with the homies Blackstreet and teddy, the original rump shakes..." I look over to the Bellas, but they haven't got a clue which song this is and it seems that they are stunned by my performance. I sigh and go deeper into the song, Sara loved so much. ,,Shorty get down, good lord. Baby get em up open all over town." Now Amy starts to rap with me.

,,Stricly biz, she don't play around. Cover much ground, got game by the pound. Getting paid is a forte, each and every day, true player way..." Without Chloe noticing, I quickly look over to her when I sing the next sentence.

,,I can't get her out of my mind, I think about the girl all the time." All the other Bellas join in now.

,,Eastside to the west side. I like the way you work it, no diggity. I got to bag it up, hey yo hey yo hey yo." I finish the song off and Jesse smiles at me. I can see the love in his eyes and I roll my eyes. Why doesn't he get that I'm attracted to girls?

,,That was awesome!" We all start to look at each other.

,,Good job, Beca." Chloe says and puts her hand on my upper arm. But then the crowd starts to boo and I look over with raised eyebrows. What did we do wrong?

,,Tough blow. The word from the song you needed to match was 'it'. You sang 'it's'. I didn't stop you because, and I think I can speak for everyone, I could not believe what I was watching. You are cut off." Justin raises Jesse's hand. ,,The Trebles win!" The crowd applauds as the boys pick up their prize. Then Bumper steps up to Miley.

,,Enjoy watching us win the ICCA's." He gets closer and that's when I step in. I push him away from her.

,,Back off!" I yell at him and hold on a fighting pose.

,,I'm just telling your friends that we're going to be on regional cable."

,,You better walk away from her," I point to Miley. ,,or I'm going to break your jaw in half." He walks away and I turn to our group of girls. ,,What we did was great, right?" I can see the others agree with me, but Aubrey has to ruin it.

,,Calm your pits, Beca. We still lost."

,,Yeah, but it was spontaneous. There were no rules. And we were -" Aubrey put her hand out, interrupting me.

,,Hands in." She says and everyone does what she tells us. We sing 'Ah' on three and walk back to our dorm rooms.
