Chapter 1 The Beginning

Y/N's pov

  As I was heading back to the apartment that I had been crashing at I spotted a green light fly over Jump City before landing somewhere downtown. Shrugging my shoulders I tried not paying much attention to it til screams and smoke filled the air. Sighing I grabbing my snack bag and heading towards the noise.

  I stopped once noticing a red headed boy in what looked like shackles throwing cars around. Slowly stepped closer to him I caught a his attention as a girl with a mask came up beside me. The boy looks at both of us before the girl started to speak trying to calm him down.

  I titled my head watching her start to work on undoing the shackles around the red heads wrists before he pulled her into a kiss and threw her against the ground.

  "Leave me alone or meet destruction!" He yelled his eyes glowing a light green.

  He flew off before I bent down helping the girl on the ground. I turned hearing someone behind me noticing a tall girl in a hoodie, a green girl with a mask, and someone hiding in the alleyway shadows.

  The girl in the mask spoke staring down at me "Get somewhere safe. I'm gonna go look for him."

  Before I could say a word she was already running off. I sighed in annoyance before turning to the other three.

  "I think we did a good job!" The green girl smiled up at me being an inch or two shorter "Don't you?"

  "Guess I missed whatever you did." I sighed sadly "I'm gonna go find that girl and try and help."

"Will you be fine on your own.. you look well.. normal?" The green girl commented as I just nodded my head. The other two look normal as well..

  I raised an eyebrow as the girl in the hoodie pulled off her hood before my eyes widened slightly.. I was wrong! "You're a cyborg?! That's kinda cool!"

  Before she could speak on of the alien ships flew over the city as a hologram appeared showing the red headed boy. A voice states they will destroy anyone who gets in their way before hundreds of aliens come out of the ship and go on the search. Moments later the girl in the mask ran over towards us. Guess she couldn't find him..

  "In order to save the city we should work together. Are you guys in." The Cyborg and green girl nodded before she turned to me.

  I nodded pointing to my left "What about the person hiding in the alley over there? They look helpful."

  "You wouldn't want my help." A new voice spoke, I felt my heart skip a beat "Not if you knew what I really was."

  "I think you'll fit in here fine trust me." I called out towards him with a smile.

  A male in a dark blue cloak with a hood walked out slowly. I couldn't see his face very well but his amethyst eyes met my E/C ones. I sent him a small smile nodding at him as he walked closer towards us.

  "Okay we need to find him." The girl in the mask spoke.

  "I sense him coming from that direction." The guy in the cloak spoke causing everyone to send him a questioning look "I'm an empath." That's actually pretty neat!

  I nodded my head before the green girl turned into a dog so she's a shapeshifter.. and started sniffing for his scent as the Cyborg girl scanned for his heartbeat.

  "He's in the video store." The Cyborg pointed towards our left directing us to follow.

  I walked behind the others next to the boy in the cloak as we headed to the video store. Inside the redhead was stuffing his face with candy and popcorn. He looked up as we stepped in before aiming his hands at us as they grew green.

  "Leave me the alone!" He yelled in anger ready to attack.

  "We want to help." The girl in the mask spoke "Just tell us what's going on."

  "The Gordanians are taking me to Citadel." He hissed lowering his hands slowly "I did nothing to be in their control!"

  "We won't let them take you. I promise!" I spoke up trying to reason with him.

  He looked at me for a brief second before nodding his head. A moment later the Gordanians stormed into the store attacking. A fire had started in the building and one of the creatures threw me into it. I could hear the others yell in worry and anger before I stepped out of the fire perfectly fine as I patted off the flames on my now partially burnt clothes.

  "Well that was a waste of time.." I sighed as my hand became consumed in fire.

I sent a fireball at one of the aliens before they engaged in a fight. After the others and I knocked them down breaking their weapons they retreated. I sighed before turning to the others crossing my arms.

"You're okay!" The green girl said in amazement jumping around me "That was awesome!"

I nodded my head before another hologram was shown an the alien leader spoke that the city would be destroyed for our interference.

"Before anyone can start blaming each other." I sighed cutting everyone off asan argument was about to stir "Is there anyway to get to that ship?"

The cloaked boy nodded "I can teleport us."

Once inside we took down the guards standing in the hallway as we headed to find the leader. The redhead and I both attacked sending a ball of our power combining at the alien leader's hand stopping him from pressing a button that would destroy the city.

  The redhead nodded at me before we attacked again. Once the Gordanians were defeated the six of us stood on an nearby island looking over the city.

"Thank you." The redhead said coming out in new set of clothing "My name is Starbolt! It is the nice to meet you!"

"I'm Robyn."

"Nice too meet you! I'm Cy."

"Beast Girl or BG!"

"Rave"

"And you?" Starbolt asked looking down at me "Do you have a name you wish to be called?"

   "The name's Y/N."

"Cy and I have been working on these since we defeated the Gordanians." Robyn said handing each of us a communicator "There will always be more trouble in this city. They'll need our help. So are you all willing to help?"
