Thanksgiving One Shot

Y/N's pov

  "Why is it every year we start cooking so late?!" Robyn yelled as she worked on the mashed potato's
  "Maybe because someone's usually attacking the city?" I sighed kneading out dough for the bread rolls "Where's Rave, Bolt, and BG? I haven't seen them in a while?"
"I needed a few more ingredients and Bolt and BG agreed to go get them." Cy spoke as she was pulling something out of the oven "And since I know BG will not buy and products involving animals and Bolt would raid the mustard and peanut butter aisles I asked Rave to go with them. Plus it keeps those two from trying to help cook BG trying to make everything animal friendly or burning food and Bolt's interesting food dishes..."
  "I got it! Sending the three who can't cook out of the building. Rave's probably regretting his life choices right now." I chuckled drily "Poor guy. He's probably trying not to kill those two."
  "Most likely." My leader spoke finishing the potato's before sighing "Can you call Rave and ask him to pick up some coconut milk so I can make that vegan whipped cream for Beast Girl."
"Got it!" I smiled leaving the bread to raise as I grabbed my communicator. I took a few seconds but I saw my boyfriend's face appear on the screen a evident frown on his face "Hey love!"
  "You need something Y/N?"
  I could hear BG and Bolt yelling about something in the background causing Rave to sigh in annoyance. He's kinda cute when he's grouchy.. which is a lot.
  "Robyn wanted me to ask you to grab some coconut milk please."
  He nodded letting out a deep breath as I heard BG and Bolt still yelling behind him. Poor Rave... I sent him a big smile before saying bye and hanging up.
"Well it seems chaotic where ever they are." I said heading back into the kitchen before going to work on one of the pie fillings letting my bread continue to rise so I could make rolls "It seems like a lot of people are out doing last minute shopping for today. Beast Girl and Bolt were yelling about something and I could hear a lot of background noise."
A little over an hour late I had just pulled out the bread rolls when the others returned home. Bolt was carrying a few bags as Rave held a to go cup in his palms looking worn out.
"Dude it's still freaky watching you hold a burning hot tray in your hands and not get hurt!" BG yelled as she walked into the kitchen with Bolt and Rave.
I rolled my eyes placing the tray down before walking over to Rave and hugging his side. I looked down at the cup in his hands then back up at him.
"Tea.." He muttered as I gently grabbed the to cup and took a sip "So I didn't murder those two.."
"You seemed liked you were having so much fun." I giggled earning an eye roll before I kissed his cheek causing him to advert his eyes "Happy Thanksgiving!"
"Yeah.." He muttered with a small smile ruffling my hair "Happy Thanksgiving Y/N."
  I smiled up at him before pulling away and heading back to the kitchen. It was around five and the food was about ready when we got a video call on the main screen. Robyn ran over answering it as five faces appeared on the screen.
  "Happy Thanksgiving/ Feliz día de acción de gracias!" The Titans East yelled smiling at all of us.
"Happy Thanksgiving too you guys as well!" Robyn grinned "Did you guys finish cooking?"
"We did most of it yesterday it was basically just the turkey today." Aqua spoke "We just wanted to wish you guys a good one!"
We waved and yelled our goodbyes before the screen turned black. That was sweet of them! I smiled placing BG's tofurkey on the table and everything was good to go.
"Foods ready!" I beamed happily at my friends "Let's say grace then we can put on a movie to watch!"
The others agreed before we circled around the table grabbing each other's hands and Robyn started to say grace. We all spoke about what we were grateful for most of it being apart of this team.
We all went around grabbing food before making our way to the living room and sitting on the couch. Cy flipped through the channels looking for a fall movie as we dug in. Rave leaned down next to me as I finished taking a bite of my food whispering in my ear-
"I'm very thankful to have you in my life.. Thank you for everything you've done.." He softly spoke so only I could hear these words "I love you.."
"I-I love you too.." I whispered back as my face started to heat up "I'm thankful for you sticking around my crazy self this long."
He smirked down at me before going back to eat. All in all thanksgiving was a pleasant day.
