Chapter 27 She's Not Real!

Y/N's pov

"Robyn.." I yawned walking into the main room as she typed on the computer "What are you doing? You should be asleep."
"Working." She said as I looked at the tv, screen empty, no activity "Why are you up?"
  "You know all the villains are probably asleep like you and I should be." I sighed typing in the security code "And Cy fell asleep already so I came to lock the tower for the night."
I debated for a moment wether to go back to bed or stay down here. I shrugged my shoulder, already being up and jumped onto the sofa. I stared at the empty screens for a moment before rolling my eyes. Robyn had been having a hard time excepting Slade was gone since the Terry accident. But for some reason for the last few weeks it had really stuck with her and she had been keeping these late night patrols up according to Cy.
  I watched her stand up and head to the elevator. I raised an eyebrow before following her and watching as she pressed the down arrow. Great, we were going to the basement. We got to the garage level for Robyn headed towards a door and a staircase. I just sighed as I continued to follow her, I could be sleeping but I was curious what she was doing. I lit up one of my hands as I searched for the light switch as Robyn looked through box's. I saw her open one and pick up something before coughing. I found the switch and turned on the light to see her holding Slade's mask.
  "Why'd we make this floor so creepy." I said before looking down at her "And you know she's gone. She died in a pit of lava Robyn, I don't even know if I could survive that."
"We can't be sure." She spoke staring at the mask "She was never captured. Never found."
  "Why are you so stubborn." I sighed "Robyn all I'm saying is all these late night stay ups are not healthy."
"Y/N-" She was cut off by the alarm going off "Trouble! Let's go!"
  The Titans and I arrived at a construction area to see Cinderblock attacking guards. He lifted a car above his head and was about to throw it when Bolt shot him with star beams.
"Drop it Cinderblock!" Robyn ordered "Before we drop you."
"Robyn." I said "We really need to work on your threats."
  Cinderblock threw the car in our direction before Rave stopped it and destroyed it. We ran at him and started to attack. My fire didn't really affect him since he was a full on rock so I had to relay on my combat training. I watched as BG got thrown and Cy stepped on before Rave used a claw to wrap around him. Rave pulled on it as Cy and Bolt shot at him. Cinderblock grabbed at the cable and flung Rave into Bolt. I ran over and started to help the two of them up as Robyn was flung off of the cliff.
  "Y/N!" Cy yelled "Go look for Robyn! We'll finish Cinderblock!"
I nodded running towards the broken railing and starting to run down the cliff. I hiss when I tripped and fell before slowly getting up. Cliff running not my strong suit. I sighed looking around as a huge explosion was heard from behind me.
  I growled once it started to rain, just because I couldn't feel the cold water didn't mean I still didn't get wet. I pushed my wet hair out of my face as I walked around looking for the colors of a traffic light, Robyn did stick out like a sore thumb in the dark.
  "Robyn!" I yelled "Robyn! You alright?"
  There was no response and I continued to run looking for her. I spotted her staring at her pole before walking towards it when a voice spoke.
"Sorry to interrupt your hike!" BG yelled before sneezing "But where were you! We had to finish off Cinderblock on our own with two less people! In the cold and rain!"
  "Slade!" Robyn said "She's back!"
  "You sure it was her?" Cy asked as I walked over to Rave and went under the magic barrier he had made "You've kinda had Slade on the brain lately."
"It was Slade!" Robyn yelled "She's going to cause a major earth quake and we only have three hours to stop it!"
"I don't get it." Cy said "The women fell into a pit of lava. Who survives that?"
"Apparently." Rave said "Slade."
  "We'll worry about how she got back after we stop the generators!" Robyn ordered "Cy check out the bridge, Rave and Y/N look at the park, Beast Girl the pier. Bolt we're going after Slade."
  I just nodded my head before Rave grabbed my hand and teleported us two to the park. Rave and I walked around looking from under the barrier he made to keep the rain off us.
  "You think she's okay?" I asked "Robyn seems more paranoid then usual and I don't see anything."
  "I'm not sure." Rave spoke as we continued to walk "If Slade really was back she didn't put a generator here."
"Robyn" Cy said through our communicators "I'm at the bridge."
  "Did you find it!" Robyn demanded "The seismic generator?"
  "I can't find anything." Cy responded "Nothing is here."
"Same with the park." I said "Rave and I can't find anything out of the ordinary."
"Diddo." BG sneezed "Nothing here."
  "They're there!" She yelled "Keep looking!"
After Robyn hung up we looked around once more before heading to our meet up area with the rest of the team. I held onto Rave's hand as I watched Cy run in our direction, moments later BG flew in sneezing still. Bolt appeared minutes later a frown on his face, I noticed bruising around his upper right arm.
"Bolt?" Cy asked "Where's Robyn?"
  "She.." I watched him rub the bruised area of his arm "Decided to look for Slade herself finding us unworthy to help."
   "Something seems off about this." I said "What happened when you were in the woods?"
  "Robyn said she saw Slade and that she ran past me." Bolt said "But no one was there. I tired to see her, I tried but I couldn't. I've never seen Robyn so angry, angry at me.."
"We need to find her." I sighed "Can you get her location Cy?"
  "Already on it." Cy said "Follow me."
The five of us ran in the direction of an abandoned warehouse. I was happy to be out of the rain as we looked around.
"Her locator." Cy said "Says she's nearby."
"Just-" Rave started before we heard sounds of Robyn fighting "Very nearby."
We ran down the hall into a large room filled with gears and broken parts. I looked to see Robyn fighting nothing in front of her. Bolt yelled her name causing her to look at us, her face swollen and bruised.
  "Slade!" She yelled before Bolt lit up the entire area with a star beam "What are you doing here? You're supposed to be looking for the generators!"
"I don't think there are any generators." Cy spoke as we watched our leader "We looked everywhere."
  "Slade must be cloaking them!" Robyn growled "just like she's cloaking herself! That's why you couldn't see her!"
"But if I could not see her." Bolt said "Why could you?"
  "Robyn" Rave spoke "Are you sure you really saw Slade?"
  "Saw her? I fought her!" She yelled once more "You think I did this to myself?"
"Dudette this is the only way out." BG finally said "No one got past us."
"Robyn." Cy said "No one was in here but you."
  "I don't have time for this!" Robyn growled walking towards us "I need to find those generators!"
  "Robyn they aren't there! There are no generators!" I yelled "Slade isn't here!"
"I know what I saw!" She screamed pulling out one of her birdarangs close to my face "I'm the only one who can take her down and I'll take anyone out who gets in my way!"
I saw Rave was about to attack before Robyn fell down. I looked up to see Bolt with his eyes glowing and a frown on his face.
  "I am sorry.." Bolt muttered "Robyn."
  Cy lifted up Robyn before Rave teleported us home. We ran into the med bay and strapped Robyn down before starting tests.
"Friends.." Bolt said "Must we keep her restrained?
"She threatened us Bolt." Cy spoke as we stood outside Robyn's door "She's dangerous."
"Dangerous!" BG sneezed "Try totally flipped out crazy!"
  "Robyn would not do these things!" Bolt yelled "She would not threaten her friends and she would not yell at me! Something is not normal and you must find it!"
  "Cy." I said point at the heart rate monitor "Somethings wrong look."
  Robyn's vitals were going off the charts, before her heartbeat went flat. We ran into the other room to find her gone before a complete shutdown was initiated.
"Robyn activated the quarantine protocol." Rave said typing in the computer "Nothing can get in or out."
  "We will see about that!" Bolt yelled as Cy started to work on the door "We must find Robyn!"
  "Rave?" I asked when I saw him go into his meditating position "What are you doing?"
  "I'll be fine." He said "I'm finding Robyn."
  I watched my boyfriend as he spoke trying to find Robyn. Asking to see into her mind, to open it to him. I sat on the floor and turned to see Cy still working on the door as Bolt watched tapping his foot. I jumped up once Rave was knocked backwards.
  "Slade!"
  "Rave!" I yelled running to him "You saw her?"
  "I don't know what I saw." Rave spoke rubbing his chin "But Slade is real, at least to Robyn. The stress on her brain is destroying her body. Robyn truly thinks she's fighting Slade and Slade is winning."
  "We need to do something!" I said "Cy let me help you with the door."
  "Robyn! I can feel her!" Rave said a few minutes later "She's not gonna make it!"
  "Then let us end this battle!" Bolt yelled ripping the floor open "Now!"
"Cy I think I remembered something!" I said as Bolt went to get Robyn "This started after I went to the basement with Robyn. She picked up Slade's mask and dust came off of it. It's the only thing I can think of that might have caused this."
"She's okay!" Bolt yelled "Robyn is alive!"
After getting Robyn back into the bed bay and checked out, Cy ran some tests on the mask.
"Y/N was right." Cy said "There was some type of chemical in the dust. It cause you to see her."
"So one last trick." Robyn chuckled sadly "Before she died. Thank you guys."
Later that night I was sitting in Rave's room waiting for him as I read on of his books. I was curled up in his blankets when the door opened. He looked at me with a raised eyebrow before walking in and sitting next to me.
"I hope you're okay." I said kissing his jaw "That looked like it hurt."
"I'm fine." He sighed pulling me towards him "Just get some rest."
I nodded my head curling up closer to his chest as his chin rested on my head. I still couldn't lose the fact that someone had activated that chemical, but who?
