Chapter 13 A Dance With A Drama King

Y/N's pov

"We need backup!" Cy said through the communicator "Like now!"
"Okay!" I answered "Rave and I are on our way!
The screen changed to Lady Moth. I froze looking at the moth lady before she spoke.
"Not so fast. You may be able to stop a few of my babies but not all." She smiled "I have a few demands the city will declare me ruler, the teen titans will surrender, and Y/N" she spoke as another screen appeared "Will take this handsome man to his junior prom."
"Hi (embarrassing nick name)!"
"Um run that past me again." As the blonde boy smirked at me "and who are you?"
"This is Kit." Lady Moth said "And you will go to prom with him!"
I turned to Rave as I heard the toaster blow up. Not the toaster, we just got a new one two months ago. I grabbed Rave's hand before he blew something else up before dragging him to another room. I called Robyn.
"Robyn!" I started "How bad is it?"
"It's bad." She yelled "Where are you guys?"
"Damn it!" I cried "Rave will fill you in! I gotta do something."
"Y/N." Rave muttered "You don't have to do this."
"It's the only way." I sighed "it will give you and the others some time to stop Lady Moth. It's the only way. Trust me, I hate it just as much as you."
I heard something else explode outside the room before walking back to the screen. I nodded my head at Lady Moth, agreeing to go before being told I was gonna be picked up at seven.
"I need to get ready." I muttered "Call Robyn and let her know what's going on, then I suggest you go help them."
"What happened?" Robyn said as I answered my communicator "The moths vanished."
"I bought you some time." I sighed "Lady Moth is controlling them. Start with this boy Kit, he's connected somehow to Lady Moth. Rave will be joining you."
"What happened?" BG yelled "Aren't you gonna help?"
"Can't." I growled "I have a date."
"A date!" Bolt yelled "And not with friend Rave!"
"Bolt!" I yelled blushing "Shhh! And no I have to go with Kit to his prom. It's how I bought you time. Good luck you guys."
"How dare this boy takes you away from Rave!" Bolt yelled "That is the horrible!"
I hung up my communicator before he could say more. My face was on fire and I turned to see Rave looking at me confused. I just shook my head before telling him I was gonna get ready. His face held annoyance as I walked by him and I sighed.
  It was around 6:45 when I finished. I sighed looking at myself my hair was done in my favorite style, light makeup on, and I was in a red dress Bolt and BG made me buy for a holiday party coming up soon. I wish Rave could see me now.
  Half an hour later I was on a yacht where prom was being held. I didn't know a person could be so annoying til I met Kit. If there was a definition and picture for the word annoying there would be a photo of him by the words.
  He was a loud mouth boy, who was a giant narcissist, and wouldn't even let me speak. I rolled my eyes as he kept bragging about me before I headed to the punch table. I was about to get some when a cup was placed in my hands. I looked up and my heart skipped a beat.
"R-Rave" I stuttered "Why are you here? You should be with the others."
"I couldn't leave you." He hissed "Not with that spoiled brat."
"He has a controller." I sighed looking at him feeling my face start to heat up "If anything happens he can release the moths"
I smiled up at him, pretty sure my face was red. He wore a tux that suited his body and his hair was slicked back with gel. I thought I was gonna melt.
"Y/N!" An annoyingly loud voice called "Get me some punch!"
"Perfect." He muttered" If I wasn't trying to control my emotions at the moment I'd punch him right now." Rave sighed before leaning down and whispering in my ear "You look beautiful tonight."
I felt my face grow hot as a sizzle noise was heard. I looked down to see my cup was now boiling the punch. Rave walked away smirking as I grabbed two new cups and headed over to Kit.
  I spent most of the night trying to avoid Kit, making calls to Robyn, and trying to catch Rave's attention. I got a message from Robyn after two hours of being here that they had found Lady Moth's hideout. I sighed happily before someone started yelling for Kit. I froze seeing a lady in a pink dress with a spider head running towards him.
  "Kit!" She yelled "Why'd you leave me!"
"I'm sorry my love!" Kit yelled letting go of me and running towards the spider "It was just to get your attention!"
I looked over a Rave rolling my eyes before shooting a fire ball at the "lovely" couple. The two turned to look at me and I just waved.
"You!" The spider yelled "Are the reason he left me! You are gonna pay."
"Funny." I chuckled darkly "That you think I would want to be here with him. But okay."
She ran towards me and the fight started. I noticed Rave blocking Kit's kicks and attacks before throwing him back as I shot another ball of fire at the spider girl, knocking her out.
"Fangala!" Kit yelled "How dare you hurt her! Now the city pays!"
I watched him press the button an waited a minute as nothing had happened. I felt my communicator go off and answered it.
"Everything is under control." Robyn smirked "We have Lady Moth in custody."
"Sweet!" I smiled "This makes my job easier!"
"Friend Y/N!" Bolt yelled "Have fun on your date with friend Rave!"
I felt my face grow red before shutting off my communicator. Rave just smirked at me as I noticed he had both Fangala and Kit knocked out and ready for the police to take them. I sighed happily, smiling at him.
"This might kind weird from me.." he muttered scratching the back of his neck "But will you dance with me?"
"Of course." I smiled "I'm glad you asked."
He grabbed my hand and pulled me into his arms wrapping them tightly around my waist. I smiled as my head leaned into his chest and my arms around his neck as the music played. He lifted my chin up and I froze as his lips covered mine. It was awkward at first neither of us sure of what we were doing. I slowly melted into the kiss enjoying the moment and thankful for it.
  "I should of done that along time ago." He sighed as we started to slowly move "I like you Y/N.."
  "I like you as well." I smiled kissing his cheek "I'm glad I'm finally able to tell you."
