Chapter 48 Alone and Lost

Y/N's pov

I walked between Rave and Bolt down the dark hallway, the only light coming from our flashlights. We reached the central control room of the space station to find everything destroyed inside. Robyn walked closer to some wires before speaking
"Looks like we've found out why communication relays from this space station have stopped."
"Yes." Bolt spoke flashing his light around "Everything has been destroyed."
  I walked around next to Rave to get a closer look at the broken machinery and torn wires, the place having an eerie feeling.
  "knew it! Cy yelled popping her head up from under the control panel "We've got a malfunctioning bifurcating dialator."
  "Yeah.." I giggled as my boyfriend rolled his eyes speaking "Exactly what I was thinking."
I nudged Rave's arm before the two of us moved to lean against a wall. Cy was busy trying to fix the bifurcating dilator as the others watched. The power was back on in a few minutes and I smiled over a my cyborg friend.
"Why do you guys think" Robyn started as we head back towards the T-Ship "Someone would trash the communication station?"
"Not somebody.." Rave growled, some kind of liquid hitting his head from above "Something."
I lifted my head up and caught the sight of a strange looking creature. It's mouth opened as aloud scream filled the air. Everything around us broke and shatter as we covered our ears. The sound threw everyone to the ground, I groaned in pain as Rave helped me up. BG turned to us in worry-
"What was that thing?"
  The creature ran down the bridge as we got ready to attack. Rave sent BG and Cy on two of his magic platforms before they started to fight. It only took moments for the three of them to be knocked down. I ran towards Rave as Bolt and Robyn continued to fight. I shot the creature from behind giving Robyn enough time to move from its upcoming attack. Helping Rave sit up I watch Bolt and Robyn run off the edge of the bridge the creature following. I smiled seeing Bolt carrying Robyn moments later.
  "Great work Bolt!"
  "I could not have done it without your assistance!"
  I giggled at the twos exchange, Bolt hitting Robyn's shoulder a little too hard. I smiled noticing the blushes on their faces, when would they finally admit they like each other.
  "Let's go." Cy smirked "Unless you wanna stay here goofing around with your boyfriend."
I watched as Robyn froze, sweat forming on her brow. Her hand moved to her chest as she took deep breaths, Bolt watched confused.
"He's not my boyfriend!"
"I am not your friend?"
I felt my hand come contact with my forehead as I sighed. Oh boy, Bolt took it the wrong way. Instead as in the lover way he was thing as friendship. I guess my talks about different meanings of words hadn't stuck with him well. Each time I learned about his language I would teach him more about mine.
Before Robyn could speak noise came from below. I ran to the railing an looked down, the creature was jumping back up. Rave grabbed my hand as my team and I headed back towards the T-Ship.
"I am not a boy?"
"Bolt hunny!" I yelled as we ran down the bridge "Not the right time for this."
"If I am not your boyfriend!" Bolt yelled blocking Robyn from moving forward "Then what am I?"
I pulled out of Rave's grib before grabbing my best friends hand. He looked at me in confusion as I started to drag him towards the ship, the creature screaming once more. Rave ran over helping me up and towards the ship as Bolt did the same for Robyn.
Once in I buckled up and got my headset on, this was going to be a rough ride. The impact of the explosion from behind us caused the ship to flip. I held tightly to my controls as Beast Girl and Bolt screamed.
  "Hey!" Robyn called over the head sets, the ship finally stabling itself "Everyone okay?"
  "Shit!" I yelled "Look!"
  "This thing just wont take a hit!" BG spat "What do we do?"
  The creature screamed once more as Robyn yelled "separate". I turned towards Rave in worry as I pressed my button, not liking the idea. I hated being away from people since I escaped from Blood's grasp, it reminded me of all the years of being in isolation. I had been able to survive when looking for Rave in hell because of worry and adrenaline, but right now I wasn't sure if I'd be okay.
I groaned as I pushed myself out of my seat, my body sore from the crash landing. I pulled my communicator out and turned it on.
"Guys?" I spoke, only buzzing was heard "Can you guys hear me? Rave? Bolt?"
The sound only grew louder, I sighed in frustration shoving the communicator back in my pocket. I looked at my surroundings, red skies and dark trees around me.
  Ruffling noises came from behind me, I turned to see a green creature come out of the trees, slime covering it. Not knowing what it was cable of I ran, my feet jumping over over grown tree roots and rocks. I arrived at a river with yellow water, the creature still close behind me, using my powers I launched myself to the other side. The green monster looked at me before turning away.
  I sighed in relief before walking again, I was terrified I wouldn't see my friends again. Were they alright, was Rave okay? I hissed as I caught my leg on an over grown root falling to the ground. Pushing myself onto my bottom I looked down at my knees, blood started to drip from my ripped leggings. It wasn't bad so I just left it before pushing myself up.
  Strange sounds came from the trees around me, each one louder then the last. I wrapped my arms around myself as I continued on, not wanting the creatures to have a chance to strike. I reached the end out the forest and fell to the ground, the sounds finally leaving my ears after what seemed like hours. I leaned against a tree holding my legs close to my chest as tears started to fall. My body was sore, my leg burned, and I couldn't find my friends. I hated being alone..
  "How could Rave love someone like you..?" A raspy voice whispered in my mind "Look at you, you're pathetic. Crying because you're all alone..."
  "Shut up!" I cried "Shut up! shut up! shut up!"
  "They are all probably heading home now." The voice chuckled, my mind becoming cruel to me in my weaken state. I hadn't heard this voice since my days in Blood's control "Forgetting about you.. Never needing you.."
  Growling came from the trees behind me, I turned to see a wolf like creature walking towards me three pairs of red eyes staring me down. I slowly lifted my body against the tree engulfing my hands in fire, the voice in my mind slowly fading. The wolf like beast walked closer black claws slashing at the air in front of me. I created a fire ball to push the monster away before I ran towards the cliff in front of me.
  I jumped onto the rock in the center of the lava pool below before jumping towards the edge. My foot slipped as the creature attacked, its body hitting the rock wall as I held onto the edge. I screamed in pain as I slid down one of its claws cutting my lower leg. I dug my fingers into the dirt above, keeping me stable before slowly pushed myself up, pain jolting through my body. The sounds of screams filled the air from below as the creature burned. I hissed looking at my left calf, four claw marks cut deep into it.
  Sliding my tights off my dress still covering me I ripped one of the legs off before tying it tightly around my calf, a string of curses leaving my mouth. I tired to push myself off the ground but fell back against it, my leg in too much pain to work. I was stuck. Was I going to die here? I stayed put for a while, not sure how long had passed before pulling out my communicator once more and starting to speak.
"You probably can't hear me.." I muttered, tears forming again "But I'm scared guys, I'm lost and I can't move. I hurt myself badly and I don't know what's going to happen. I just wish you could hear me-"
"Y/N!" Voices called from above "Guys it's her!"
I looked up to see my team in the T-Ship looking down at me. Rave's eyes widened in concern when he looked down at my leg, flying off the ship towards me.
"What happened?" He demanded kneeling in front of me, his hand cupping my cheek. It had been hours since the crash "I was worried about you!"
"I was attacked!" I hissed as he unwrapped my calf "I've been here for a while, it hurts too much to move."
"You'll be fine.." He sighed, his hands hovering over my wound "I'm relived you are alright."
"I'm glad you are too." I smiled before looking up, the ship still floating above us "Are Robyn and Bolt okay?"
"Yes, we were more worried about you.." He spoke as the pain slowly faded "I know how you are when you're alone.. Did anything happen?"
"My mind tried to make me believe you all left.." I muttered as he pulled his hands away, my leg now healed "I thought I'd never hear the voice again but it was back. I was scared.."
"You're okay." Rave wrapped his arms under me lifting me up "It's time to go home.. I got you.."
"I'm sorry I'm pathetic.."
"Y/N.." His voice was laced with hurt I looked up as his lips met my head "You could never be that in my eyes. We all have a past that hurts us but we have to push through it. The voice in your head is a reminder of that past, trying to pull you back into the darkness. Don't let it. I know you're strong..."
"C-can we go home now?"
Rave nodded before flying us towards the ship. My friends watched me in worry as I was placed in my seat, I sent them a small smile. As long as I had them the darkness couldn't take over my mine. I wasn't a kid anymore and Blood was gone. The voice in my mind was my fears but I was stronger then them. I nodded towards my team ready for the trip home.
