Mate

"Why would you take her to a vampire bar!" Jungkook screamed at Jimin. Everyone else sitting on the couch staring at them. Jimin called a meeting as soon as you got back to the main living area of the house. Jungkook was furious at Jimin, so no one really knew what to say.

"I know it wasn't smart, but I... had to recharge." Jimin said dropping his head.

"Recharge? I saw you suck five bags dry before bed last night. Why would you need to re-" Jungkook stopped mid scream and glanced over at you as you sat between Jin and Namjoon, "You changed! If you lied one finger on her you are dead." Jungkook rotated on his heels and started questioning you, "Did he hurt you? Did he bite you?"

"No! If anything Jimin saved me." you said glaring into his eyes

"He could have had you killed with a stupid mistake like that." he spat.

"Well, I didn't die so drop it."

"Yet. You haven't died yet, but now with  Hong Joong and his rats on your scent; you are as good as dead." Jungkook barked before sitting on the couch and burring his face into his hands.

"Jimin, tell us what happened... all of it." said Namjoon to the younger vampire.

"Well, we woke up early, and I suggested that we go for a walk. Then she asked if we could go by her old apartment to get her clothes and such. While we were there, we got a little close, and I started changing, but I controlled myself."

"How close is a little close?" Jungkook hissed, but Namjoon raised his hand silencing him.

"Jimin, continue."

"So to recharge, I though we could stop at The Fang (the vampire cafe/bar), so I could quickly grab a glass. That is when I realized that she is sweet." the way he said sweet sent a shiver down your spine. It sounded sort of venomous. "I explained to her what that meant, and warned her of the dangers. Then I felt the hair on my neck stand. I had a feeling. We went to leave, but then I heard Hong Joong calling my name. I tried protecting her, but Mingi grabbed her and smelled her, but then they just left. That is all that happened." Jimin finished shoving his face into his hands.

He seemed small. It made you want to comfort him and tell him that he is strong like what he does to you, but you couldn't move. The room was silent; everyone staring at you.

"Then it's settled" Taehyung said breaking the silence, "we kill her." he rose from the couch turning toward you, but Jungkook was there in his face, "If you touch her, I will end you." he snarled. It scared you, and he wasn't even saying it to you.

What changed? Why was he being like this now?

"What is going on?" All of you turned to the voice that you didn't know. The man had his eyes wide open in shock. He had the matching pale skin with light blue feathers wrapping around his neck.

"Hoseok, I am glad you are home." said Namjoon

"What is going on?" he asked again his eyes travailing from Taehyung and Jungkook at each others throats to you. Upon seeing you, he just cocked his head to the side with a confused look on his face.

"This is y/n, but please call her Princess." teased Namjoon. Without thinking you spun your head and glared at him, but he just laughed.

How could he be laughing in this situation.

"Um, hi, Princess." he hesitantly said.

"Come sit and we will fill you in." Namjoon said gesturing to the couch.

After what felt like forever, Hoseok was finally informed of absolutely everything. Hoseok was actually a very kind man. He had a beautiful heart shaped smile that just radiated positive energy. You instantly liked him.

"Okay, great, Hoseok knows everything, so what are we going to do about the rats." hissed Jungkook.

"I think we should wait." said Namjoon, " We should think of a plan before we start another war."

"War?" the words seemed to just spill out of your mouth.

Jin grabbed your hand patting it lightly, "A long time ago, Namjoon and Hong Joong were actually friends. Hong Joong is quiet young, but he was strong, so Namjoon decided to train him since he was bit by a drifter. A drifter vampire just goes around biting people, but doesn't have a coven like we have here." He gestured to the people in the room, "Hong Joong, unlike Namjoon, sought money and power; plus, what really made the situation worse was that Hong Joong had a mate. Mates are very rare. Vampires mate for life, so they are very important." he kept patting your hand.

"There was a disagreement, and a fight. Hong Joong's mate was killed by... Jungkook." Jin said lowering his head. You looked over to Jungkook, but he looked away from you.

"Hong Joong is now set on revenge for the life of his mate. There is not a greater pain in the world than losing a mate. That it why we want to keep you as safe as possible because he might try to come after you." Jin finished.

Great now I have a grieving, revengeful vampire overlord after me. Great.

You stared at the floor.

What have you gotten yourself into?

"We don't need anymore death." stated Namjoon plainly, "No more leaving the compound" he directed toward you.

"Jungkook don't let her leave your sight again." Jin said pointing at the shameful vampire. He still wouldn't look at you.

Even better, I'm stuck with him.

Namjoon shot you a look, "It's for your own safety."

Oh yeah the mind reading thing.... Hey, Namjoon, what number am I thinking of?

"Three" he said everyone turning to look at him. You slowly moved your fist towards him. He bumped it with his fist.
