In Your Dreams

"What took you so long?" a harsh voice entered your ears which rang with an annoying buzz. You opened your eyes, but the light stung your pupils. You couldn't recognize the voice, and you were too disorientated even to begin to know where you are.

"Oh, come on now, wake up, Princess," you felt a hand come down and softly smack your face. You opened your eyes this time to see Jungkook's face dangling over you. You gasped, taking in the smooth, clean air. You hadn't noticed that you were holding your breath until that moment.

"That's it, Princess. Time to rise and shine," he laughed, backing away making the light come pouring back into your tired eyes. You brought your hand up, shielding your eyes. You looked around to observe your surroundings; you were lying in an open field. Long golden grass danced in the wind around you. The land seemed to never end. You had seen this place before but only in your dreams.

"Where are we?" you said in a hoarse voice that did not sound like yours. 

"I don't know. Somewhere where our dreams meet reality," Jungkook said plopping down next to you in the tall grass. The breeze pushed his long air over his eyes; he brushed it away and tucked it neatly behind his ear as he looked over the horizon of pure gold. "I remember this place," he said softly, "You were here too, remember?"

You did remember. You remember watching the field burn with flames as you watched Yunho become ash. You remember Jungkook calling for you, and saving you from your own demise. "I remember," you said plucking a blade of grass from the ground and twirling it around your fingers. You looked up and into the horizon, "But why are we here?" you asked.

Jungkook turned and looked at you, "I don't know. I just woke up here just like you. I... bit you and ran away. Then something happened. My stomach started to burn," he rubbed his hand over his stomach like he could still feel the pain, "I looked under my shirt and my stomach was glowing. Like glowing glowing. Then... not to be morbid, but then it exploded like with fire. My guts flew everywhere," he stopped and let out a small giggle, "Kind of cool I guess,"

"So you died?" you said in a small voice.

"Yep. Gone," he said with a small smirk. You felt bad. You didn't mean to kill him at least you think you didn't.

"Then if you're dead then... I'm dead," you pointed your finger at your chest.

"I guess so," he said, shrugging his shoulders.

"But how?" you couldn't remember what happened. Everything was so blurry.

"Does it have something to do with your wolf friend?" Jungkook asked, pulling your attention back to reality, "I think his name was Jaeheon. Joon? Joongi?"

"Jooheon." you said. Everything came flashing back to you.

"Oh yeah, he is lying somewhere over there I think," Jungkook said, pointing over his shoulder.

"Where?" you said in a frantic voice, jumping to your feet, "I need to see him,"

"Ugh, I just wanted to have some me and you time," Jungkook said in a whiny voice, "Just like the good ol days,"

"Jungkook, we don't have time for this, and I don't particularly remember any good ol days," you huffed, marching in the direction he pointed to.

"Ugh, still the same old Princess I see," he called to you.

"Don't call me that," you yelled back at him.

"A little to your left... Princess," you could hear his laughter even at a distance. You rolled your eyes and kept scanning the tall grass for the wolf. Then you saw him. His bright red hair blew softly in the breeze. You came closer. This is when you noticed that he was completely bare of any clothes. You let out a small shriek in surprise. You could hear Jungkook's laugh from across the field. You shot him daggers with your eyes, "This isn't funny," but he couldn't hear you over his wild laughter.
