Wolves

"What is going on?!" Hong Joong ran into the room. He stopped in his tracks when he saw Yunho on the floor with you over top of him.

"I'm leaving." you stood up from Yunho and walked to the doorway by Hong Joong. You leaned into his ear and whispered, "Don't follow me. Whoever follows me will end up like him." You walked past him, down the stairs, and through the front door.

Everything was still red as you walked through the trees.

How dare he treat me like that? What is so drastic to make "scars" that traumatic? What is his problem with Mingi? He knows he is mine. Why be jealous?

You found an opening in the trees. You walked into the clearing stumbling across an ever expanding lake. The water was a deep teal, but yet, you could see right through it. You felt more relaxed, but your body continued to burn. You felt your body start to weaken. You knew you were about to pass out. You always did after you used your powers, but you didn't want to go back. You didn't want to face Yunho or Mingi. You just wanted to be alone.

You stumbled your way to the edge of the lake. Your vision became normal. You fell to your hands and knees.

Its coming.

You lied your face down onto the soft dirt.

I will be fine. I can sleep for a little bit. Someone will come eventually.

You blacked out.

You heard quiet shuffling. Something bumped into your foot. You opened your eyes. The night sky loomed over you. A full moon hanging high in the sky

I have been asleep all day.

You sat up stretching your arms. Something wasn't right. You looked around seeing nothing, but then something right behind the tree line moved. The moon illuminated the ground in front of you. A small growl to your left caught your attention. You slowly started scooting backwards inching closer to the water.

Another growl came from your right. You started backing up faster. Your hands hit the water. Then you heard a single howl.

Wolves.

You got to your feet about to run, but something stopped you. A man appeared from the trees in front of you. He was tall and tanned. He was shirtless but was wearing worn denim jeans. His hair was a deep black; his hair hid his eyes. He was ripped. He had muscles that you didn't even know existed. He had a narrow face and a narrow nose with small plump lips. 

He slowly walked closer to you. Then from behind him two giant wolves appeared next his side. You started to begin to panic. You stumbled backward about knee deep into the water.

"Don't be scared." he said; his voice was calm and weirdly relaxed you, "I just want to talk."

He stopped with his wolves about ten yards in front of you. Something felt weird in you. Usually, in these dangerous situations, your stomach would be on fire, and you would be in fight mode, but you felt cold. Something wasn't right.

"Who are you?" you said trying to sound not terrified. 

"I am Shownu, leader of Monsta pack, you have nothing to fear at least for now." His teeth shined in the moonlight. His K9 incisors sharper than the rest. "These are Wonho and Joonheon," he motioned the the wolves shadowing him.

"I am Y/n." you said trying to stay civil.

He gave a small bow, so did his fellow wolves, "You have seemed to stumble into our territory." he said crossing his arms over his chest, "And you are... sweet, so you are hard to ignore; however-" he cocked his head, "you don't seem fully human."

"Does it matter?" you said.

The wolf on the right let out a low snarl. You heard the leaves rustle from the tree line. Red. Your feelings were finally working now. You looked at the tall wolf man, "Now, that is interesting."

Like a burst of wind, two large figures appeared in front of you, "Y/n, get back." it was Yunho's voice. You knew exactly who was in front of you: Yunho and Mingi. You rolled your eyes pushing past the two giant men, "I can take care of myself."

The tall wolf man chuckled under his breath, "It's nice seeing you two here. It's been a long time brother."

Brother? oh.

"Can't say the same, Shownu." Mingi growled from behind you.

"So, am I supposed to assume that this beautiful girl is with you?" the tall wolf said stepping a few steps closer.

Yunho let out a harsh growl stepping up next to you.

"Oh, so she is with you?" he raised his eyebrow to Yunho.

"I am with no one." you said harshly. You didn't even look to Yunho. He didn't own you. You were your own.

"She is a strong one. I like it." his words made you smile a little. Finally, someone respected your strength and didn't treat it like a disease that had to be studied.

"We will be leaving now. This won't happen again." Mingi said stepping up to your other side.

"Let's hope it doesn't." the wolf man said lower his face. He glanced up just showing his eyes barely, "I will give you a head start." he then presented a wicked smile.

You knew what he meant, so you ran. You cut through the trees and over the hills. Mingi and Yunho ran at your side. You could hear the sound of heavy paws hitting the ground. Barks and howls filled your ears.

Your arms pumped and your legs flew. You heard gnashing teeth right behind you as the wolves tried to bite at your ankles. You broke into a clearing. The two others stopped, but you didn't. You must have hit the edge of their territory, but you just wanted to be home.

You didn't fear the wolves like the others did. They seemed civil until they showed up. Shownu was kind. He respected you. He saw your strength, and he didn't fear it. You could respect a fearless man. You wanted to be fearless. Things were about to change.
