Mingi's POV

"Why do you need me?" the wolf spoke up after minutes of silence.

"I will tell you more once we are out of wolf territory." you hushed the wolf.

The two of you went back to silence, "Can you run?" you asked the red haired boy.

He put his hand on the back of his neck, "Um, I can, but I would rather not. It is quite painful." 

You understood. You hadn't felt it yourself, but you had seen newly turned wolves scream for hours due to the changing process, "It's okay. I understand, but we can at least go a little faster." You started to jog and then run, but not as fast as you truly could. The wolf trotted at your side until you reached the tree line that ended the wolf's territory.

"So, Hong Joong and I have a really important job for you." you and the wolf slowed to a walk.

"Don't take this the wrong way, but I don't want to help you." he said looking at the ground.

"I understand." the wolf looked up at you in surprise, "I hated vampires when I was a wolf, but then I learned that they were... better than us."

"How?" the wolf sounded curious.

"I learned that vampires were just like us. They just want to live. We aren't much different." you looked down on the man, "They are wise and strong, but I also think that I was in a different situation than most vampires. Hong Joong was alone. He had no family or coven. I was alone. I had no family or pack. He helped me, and I helped him."

"Man, that's deep." the wolf laughed. You liked this wolf. Even though you barely said anything to him, something about him seemed familiar. He reminded you of a younger you. He was curious and wasn't afraid to speak up.

"I guess it is." you laughed. You could see the roof of the house over the treetops, "Stay here. I will go and get Hong Joong."

You left the wolf in the trees and walked up to the house. Hong Joong was perched on a chair outside on the porch, "I got you a wolf." you said standing in front of the man.

"Good, I found her an apartment, and I found him an apartment." Hong Joong stood up, "Let me meet this wolf."

You led your leader to Joohoney. The wolf bowed when Hong Joong approached him.

"I am Joohoney." the wolf said to Hong Joong.

"Hong Joong." your leader gave a small bow, "Now, I bet you are confused, but you are a very important person to us. We need you to go to Tokyo to keep an eye on Y/n."

The young wolf nodded.

"She must not know that you are watching her. That includes that you must wear scent blockers. You will act as her friendly next door neighbor." you looked at Hong Joong as he spoke.

"Are you sure that is a good idea?" you asked.

"I think it would be the best way to keep and eye on her without her being suspicious." he explained.

"So, I am just going to act as her next door neighbor, and all I have to do is watch her and report back to you." Joohoney asked.

"Yes, it is quite simple." Hong Joong said, "You will leave today. I have the plane ready and everything. You can use this card" his fished a credit card out of his pocket, "Buy whatever you want."

The wolf took the card, "Yes sir, I will do my best." he bowed.

"If you complete this mission, and it ends successfully, your family will be paid generously." Hong Joong promised.

The boys eyes got big, "I will. I promise."

"Good." Hong Joong said. He turned back to the house, "I will have a car pick you up at the end of the driveway. You can wait down there. No one else knows about this, and you may not tell any of this to your pack. If you tell anyone, consider your mission failed." Hong Joong walked away leaving you alone with the young wolf.

"It won't be too hard." you said Joohoney, "Just please trust us."

The wolf looked to the ground, "I will try my hardest... for my family."

"Thank you. That is all I could ask for."
