(Jace, a mysterious duelist, has just begun a Speed Duel with a Duelist of Gameshade. Both players have 4000 LP. In the real world, Carly has logged out and returns to the living room, where Kyle is)
Carly: Kyle!
Kyle: Carly, glad to see your alright. How's Jace doing?
Carly: I don't know, I logged out before I could see what happened to him.
Kyle: Well, good thing Duel Monsters Interspace has cameras set up all over the place, and if my hunch is right.
(Kyle flips through the camera feeds of Duel Monsters Interspace and soon finds Jace and the Duelist of Gameshade)
Kyle: There he is.
Carly: But he's too far away to be seen. Can't we get closer??
Kyle: Nope, we can only watch from the current position of the video feed, and with the way Jace is going, we aren't going to be seeing him for long.
Carly: But what is he doing way up in the air like that?
Kyle: He's Speed Dueling. (Jace and the Duelist of Gameshade vanish off screen, and Kyle begins to talk to himself) Win this dude, but be careful.
(Back inside Duel Monsters Interspace, Jace and the Duelist of Gameshade race through the air on their Duel Boards. On the ground, Hunter Renegade and Viper prepare to watch the duel thanks to Special Video feed on the Duelist of Gameshade's D-Board)
Viper: I'm looking forward to seeing what thissssss kid is made of. Issssss he all big talk or will he put up a fight?
Hunter Renegade: We'll soon find out, and just to see what kind of duelist this kid is........I've added in a "Special" reinforcement. Let's see how well the kid will handle it once he faces it.
(In the air, the Duelist of Gameshade smirks and gets a look)
Duelist of Gameshade: I'll make the first move. It's my turn! (The Duelist of Gameshade looks at his starting hand displayed in front of him) And I couldn't have asked for a better hand. Defeating you will be easier than I thought. Now let's begin. I'll start by summoning the Level 1 "Equal Nightspirit". (500/0) You see, this card can be Special Summoned from my hand whenever both of our LP are equal. But during the turn I Special Summon "Equal Nightspirit", I cannot Special Summon any monsters from the Extra Deck. Not that I need an Extra Deck to win this duel.
Jace: His spirit only has 500 ATK. Something's up and I bet I know what it is.
Duelist of Gameshade: Now I Special Summon another copy of "Equal Nightspirit" from my hand to the field. (500/0) Then I'll activate the Continuous Spell Card, "Precious Cards from Beyond".
