Jace also has the Continuous Spell Card, "Code-Pad", face-up in his Spell/Trap Zone as well as 1 set card. Hunter Renegade has 1600 LP, and controls "X-Jet Medic Flattop" in his Extra Monster Zone, along with "X-Jet Exceedgeneral" with 0 Overlay Units, "X-Jet Twinrotor Hive" and "X-Jet Asteroid Dual" in his Main Monster Zones. Hunter Renegade has no cards in his Spell/Trap Zone. Both duelists have no cards in their hands, and it is currently Hunter Renegade's turn)

(Twinrotor Hive fires beams of energy)
Jace: I activate Code Pad's effect. Before damage calculation, I can send this card to the GY. For this turn, Battle Damage involving a Cyberse monster is reduced to 0. (Jace opens his hand) Next, Pawstrong Rubble's Special Ability kicks in! Since he was Special Summoned, Level 4 "Code Patrol" monsters cannot be destroyed by battle during your turn!
(The beams of energy hits "Pawstrong Rubble", but he isn't destroyed)
Hunter Renegade: I expected that defensive move, so I set up a counterstrategy.
Jace: How so?
Hunter Renegade: Allow me to show you. (Hunter Renegade points forward) Asteroid Dual's Special Ability activates! After an "X-Jet" monster other than itself attacks a monster, you take damage equal to half of the attacking monsters original ATK! "Twinrotor Hive" has 2000 ATK, so you take 1000 points of damage.

Hunter Renegade: Next, Twinrotor's Special Ability comes into play. It can attack twice in one Battle Phase. Attack "Pawstrong Rubble" again! (Twinrotor Hive's hivelike openings begin to light up again) Fire! (Twinrotor Hive fires beams of energy)
Jace: Due to Code-Pad's effect, the Battle Damage is reduced to 0 and Pawstrong Rubble's Special Ability once again prevents him from being destroyed.
(The beams of energy hit "Pawstrong Rubble", but once again, he isn't destroyed)
Hunter Renegade: But it won't really matter due to Asteroid Dual's Special Ability activating again! You take another 1000 points of damage!
