Episode 11: Unmasked Part 1

(On the Trigrande City Arc Bridge, Jace is staring down Amy Angeliss with a serious question in his eye. Jace has just come across a shocking surprise. "Maskedformer Talentstar Angel", a card used by Duel Monsters Interspace pro, Maskedina, is seen on the ground and Amy has it in her possession for reasons still unknown to Jace)

Jace: Amy, why do you have one of Maskedina's cards in your possession?

Amy: This....this isn't what it looks like. I, I swear.

Jace: Amy, you're....you're the one who's been hiding under Maskedina's mask, right? You're the one who is Maskedina inside Duel Monsters Interspace.

(Amy looks away and begins to pick up her deck) 

Jace: Well, tell me I'm wrong. Just like what you did the other night by not believing me. I don't see you as someone who should be ashamed of not admitting the truth, I know you can do better. 

(Amy continues to not look at Jace and continues to pick up her deck)

Jace: Look at me straight in the eyes and tell me I'm wrong, or are you going to step forward and?

(Amy looks at Jace) 

Amy: Alright, stop! 

(Jace stops and Amy looks at him) 

Amy: It's....It's all true. Your right....I....I am Maskedina. I won't hide it anymore from you. 

Jace: Why Amy? Why would ever consider throwing away your career as a famous pro duelist? 

Amy: Because it's my decision. My times in Duel Monsters Interspace are some of the best I ever had. I never gave up and wanted to give my fans a good show. However, after what happened to my brother, I couldn't bear to live with those scars anymore. My brother may not have approved of me dueling, but I felt inside he cared enough and was right there by my side, during each and every one of my duels. 

Jace: Amy, Spencer is still with you. Like in every one of your duels, even if he wasn't physically there by your side, you said it yourself that you felt that he was still there by your side. You can feel the same way in real life outside of the servers. You don't have to give up dueling as Maskedina, there's still a way. You're still the strong girl underneath the mask. 

Amy: (Picking up her last card) Well, this girl has just been unmasked. There's no point in continuing on with my dueling career now that you've figured it out. Nobody else will care anyway. Now, I'm going to go. 

(Amy walks past Jace and begins to walk away. Jace closes his eyes in frustration)

Jace: If you're going to walk away like that, then you leave me no choice. (Jace opens his eyes) Duel Me!

(Amy stops and turns towards Jace)

Jace: If I win, you'll let me help you with your struggles. If you win I'll step aside, and you can continue on with your life the way you want to and you can do whatever you want. 

(Amy fully turns towards Jace)

Amy: You really want to go through with this?

Jace: I do. I won't let you just toss your future away like it's nothing. I'm sure your brother would agree.

Amy: You don't know that, but if you insist on dueling me, then you're wasting your time. I told you that I don't want anything to do with dueling anymore. 

Jace: Then think of me as a final test or obstacle you have to get past. I won't let you just walk away that easily.

(Amy grinds her teeth angrily, then looks away)
