Episode 34: Of Hunters And Power

(Inside Duel Monsters Interspace, as the war against The Duelists Of Gameshade continue, Jace is seen running. He looks around)

Jace: Trapper's army of Duelist Of Gameshade goons really messed things up in the beginning. Kind of ironic that afterwards they just vanished into thin air. Guess they accomplished what Trapper wanted them to. Still, the amount of damage they've caused is unforgivable. It won't be long now Trapper, until things are finally set right. 

(Jace keeps running)

(Meanwhile, elsewhere in the server, and speeding through city streets, Wiseman and Hunter Renegade have just begun their Speed Duel)

Wiseman and Hunter Renegade: Let's Speed Duel!!

(Wiseman: 4000 LP)

(Hunter Renegade: 4000 LP)

(Hunter Renegade speeds ahead)

Hunter Renegade: I'll make the first move. My turn! (Hunter Renegade displays his 4 card starting hand)

(Wiseman says nothing and displays his starting hand as well, looking at it, then back at Hunter Renegade) 

Hunter Renegade: (Tapping a card) First, I activate this Spell Card, "X-Jet Cardgo". By discarding 1 "X-Jet" monster, I get to Draw 2 cards. 

(Hunter Renegade discards an "X-Jet" monster then Draws his 2 cards, but continues to maintain his focus looking straight ahead, before tapping another card in his hand)

Hunter Renegade: Next, I Normal Summon "X-Jet Salvager". (300/1200) 

(Hunter Renegade raises his hand)

Hunter Renegade: Appear now, my combative battle circuit! (A circuit appears) The summoning conditions require me to use 1 Level 4 or lower "X-Jet" monster. Therefore, I set "Salvager" in the Link Arrow! I Link Summon! Deploy! Link 1, "X-Jet Converlay". (800)

(Hunter Renegade extends his arm)

Hunter Renegade: Then I activate Salvager's Special Ability from my GY! Since I used it to Link Summon an "X-Jet" monster, I can Special Summon a different "X-Jet" monster from my GY except for itself, but it must have 1000 ATK or less. Return to the battlefield, "X-Jet Flighter". (300/1200) Then, whenever "Flighter" is Special Summoned from my GY, I get to Draw 1 card. (Hunter Renegade Draws 1 card)

(Hunter Renegade displays his hand again) 

Hunter Renegade: Next, I Normal Summon "X-Jet Gradius". (1200/800) Then I activate Gradius' Special Ability. (Gradius glows green) Since it was deployed onto my field, I'm allowed to search my Deck, and then reinforce my hand with another copy of "X-Jet Gradius". (Hunter Renegade adds another copy of "X-Jet Gradius") 

Wiseman: Trying to gain advantage this quick? You know what you're doing.

Hunter Renegade: This is just the start. (Hunter Renegade raises his hand) Now, using Level 4 "Flighter" and Level 4 "Gradius", I build the Overlay Network. 

(Hunter Renegade's two X-Jets transform into energy beams of light and a blue X appears. The two beams of energy transfer into circles located inside the blue X. Hunter Renegade begins to chant)

General who trains in the field of battle, you will now deploy to exceed surpass the enemy and take out whatever defenses they have. Charge forward and prepare for battle! I Xyz Summon!!! Deploy into battle, Rank 4, "X-Jet Exceedgeneral". (2300/1600)
