"Are you out of your mind? This is just insane!"

"A task is a task. It's your wish if you wanna do it or not."

I just stared at him in disbelief. But something else was irritating me from the beginning .

His eyes......they were glinting mischievously like the stars of a obscure sky. There was something dark, hidden under those azure steely orbs. What was it? Was it hatred or was it the desire of taking revenge. Whatever it was, the answer was unknown to me.

Time ticked away and the silence played a dark tune. Thousands of unknown words danced as the tension became more visible.

Neither of us said a word. I wanted to know something but I was too scared to ask him.

Sometimes, your eyes are enough to show your insides. Those dusky eyes showed that his mind was trapped in the prison of all kind of darker thoughts but the wall that he has created was hard enough to block all kind if emotions.

Whatever happens tomorrow, I won't let him win. If he is living in the darkness, then I will become his shadow. Because, you can see your shadow only when you are under the light.

But the question is, how?

The clinking sounds of glass was heard when I was washing the dishes. But my mind was imprisoned by a series of thoughts. Suddenly, my hands turned so numb that it became hard for me to move my fingers. The coldness of the water transferred to my hands and my trembling fingers slowly froze on their track.

The feeling of helplessness surrounded my heart as an unknown fear slowly became visible.

What should I do now? How should I overcome my fears? Life was playing unfair with me. Every steps felt like a new challenge coated with unknown pain. Every breath became difficult. Seeing a new sunrise will be a surprise because drowning in nothingness felt welcoming.

I was scared. I was afraid. Afraid of humiliation, afraid of those who hates me. Their taunting words, their satisfied looks and after today's incident, I'm scared even more. The thought of seeing them again sent a shiver down my spine. And I can't even imagine the thought of doing something like that in front of those monsters. It's humiliating, embarrassing as well as disgusting.

All of a sudden, a hand was placed on my shoulders.

Bewildered by the sudden contact, I dropped the plates on the floor. The crashing sound of the glass boomed through the eerie quiet room.

I staggered backwards, finding that Allyene was standing beside me with an shock expression plastered over her beautiful face.

"Why are you crying?"

Realizing her words, I harshly rubbed my hand on my face so the last evidence of tear would fade away.

"Nothing. Do you need anything?" I managed to ask her.

Avoiding her gaze, I bent down to pick up the broken crystals.

"Your mom wants to talk to you."

After hearing her, the burning pain eased a bit. Then I understood, what I needed.

Comfort.

And my comfort is my mother, my heart mate . Yes, heart mate, the one who has a heart to heart connection with you.

"Hello?" I asked, waiting for the other person to answer back.

"Casie...."
