A small blush crept on my pale cheeks; burning them hotly. Dark strands fell on my face in layers, framing it in an elegant way. Coffee eyes rolled dramatically. It's just a date!
A friendly date may I add.
I huffed and frowned since the light foundation on my skin failed to hide the small faded scars that stubbornly glued on my face. And that mascara. That mascara probably weights a ton since my eyes were already drooping.
The gloss on my dry lips was already fading from the continuous biting and licking. What? Don't blame me if I am nervous.
At last the dress. A dark leather jacket and sweater with matching tights and OTK boots. Yeah, I know. You guys are probably expecting something sexy and revealing and glossy but it's freaking freezing outside. Blame the weather not me. I don't want to freeze to death on my first friendly date night, okay? But I think it's a nice choice comparing to my other baggy, comfy oversized outfits.
A knock on the ebony door broke my trance.
"Come in."
The door slowly opened revealing a sexy looking Travis. From his pitch black leather blazer with white t-shirt underneath to those hot jeans and shoes, everything about him screamed I am fucking erotic. His deshelved sandy hair with darker roots and those muscles that flexed with every movement made me wondering if I even go with his standards.
A mischievous smirk etched on his handsome face when he noticed me staring at his reflection. I gulped nervously as the hotness on the side of my cheeks increased tenfold.
After retouching my makeup, I slowly stood up from the chair and turned back towards him. My eyes stared at anything but Travis. Why my heart is beating this loudly?
"Just look at you." He whistled, his deep masculine voice rang in my ears.
I flushed even more.
"So damn sexy in that attire. I never thought you had this dress hidden in your little closet." He slowly made his way towards my direction and stood in front of me, towering my small body with his six foot two frame.
I rolled my eyes.
"I never had them in my closet. Adrienne bought them recently. And.." I narrowed my eyes. "The closet you have selected for me is more like room than a closet which is by the way mostly empty since I don't own much."
"Don't worry. I'll fill that closet inch by inch. Just watch baby." He winked.
"Travis Xander!" I growled. "If you even dare to buy anything else I'm gonna kick your ass! You know that I've told you I'm not like those gold-diggers. I earn on my own and walk with my head held high." I jabbed a finger in his chest.
He sighed audibly as his shady azure orbs steeled on mine. A warm, large hand settled on my face that caressed my cheeks affectionately.
I didn't see disgust or hatred on those blue orbs. I saw pride.
"I know you are not a simpering little girl. You are a strong, independent, beautiful young woman and I'm honored to have you." His mouth tugged upwards in a small smile.
"Glad to know your opinion." I retorted haughtily.

Our car pulled in front of an expensive Italian restaurant which was mesmerizingly adorned in neon lights and a big logo. Amico Chef was written in cursive style with the picture of a typical middle aged chef with round belly running with a dish on his hand.
