Every sets of eyes were fixated on me when I departed from the washroom. They wanted me to get ruined, well sorry, that's not gonna happen.
Everyone stared at me with wide eyes when they saw my dark hair resting a few centimeters below my shoulder. My shirt was long gone as Adrienne's sweater was draped over my shoulder. Thanks to my dark camisole, I did not need any other clothes.
I could feel my heart berating, not from emotions but from nerves. I did not know where to head but a lean hand firmly gripped my uninjured one, assuring me that everything's going to be alright.

Stunned eyes peered at me as if they never seen a girl in short hair before. I need to get out of here but not before knowing who it was.
Adrienne did not leave my sight even for a breath as she stayed with me though she had a exam to attend. My fingers burned in blistering pain , spreading it on my whole arm. Now I didn't know which part of my hand burned more or which burned less. A white cloth was delicately draped on my wound to stop the bleeding and to hide it from curious eyes.
Sighing shakily, we walked towards the management office hoping that we would be able to find some evidence.
Adrienne managed the clerk with her notorious charms and he willingly gave us the access to all the cameras. It was illegal for the students to dig in to the school's cameras as there was a chance of leaking privacy.
But as luck never favored me, we found nothing as the footage of that exact time when the incident has occurred was missing.
Someone was two step ahead of us.
"Shit man." She muttered.
I stayed silent. I did not have any other words to speak. The remaining ounce of hope has vanished in the air. I had nothing else to do.
"Let's get you home. Don't worry, I'll find the culprit with in tomorrow."
"But how?" I asked, my dull eyes silently watered.
" I have my sources." She smiled lightly, the corner of her lips slightly tugged upwards.
I still stared at her without uttering any words. Walking swiftly from the darkened room, facing away the blonde in front of me, I headed towards the main hallway. My feet softly padded against the gravel as I slightly limped against it.
Adrienne followed me instantly, cursing different words for my silent yet cold state.
As soon as we departed from the school compound, she helped me to get in her car which was blissfully warm from the inside.
The way to home was spent in silence however my brittle mind was tormented loudly. Like the passing trees and blurry roads, my memories kept rushing inside me, haunting me agonizingly.
The journey was short. The car came into halting as I jolted out of my memory lane.

Allyene gasped when she saw me in this bloodied and bruised stage, my short ragged hair was the cherry on top.
"What happened to you?" She asked tensely, her eyes delicately roamed around my wounds.
"Umm, nothing. I I jus tripped on the canteen and ruined my hair in the process." I staggered as if I was a child lying about the cake I've eaten. Though that was not a complete lie.
