The area, they were currently walking through was vast, dark and dominated by trees. It seemed like one of those dark scenes of the movies where everything was haunted and gloomy. It was quite irritating to walk through the thick layer of shrubs and vines. The forest floor was piled in dead leaves, animal dropping and undetectable wet muds.
Birds chipped sporadically as the sunray peeped through the big old mass of trees which was the only source of vision.
Both biotic and abiotic beings lurked here and there including insects, reptiles and mass of wet mosses. The environment was not dense like most of the tropical forests rather it was cold and foggy as well as distinctive.
True to it’s word, this forest was deadly, diverse and seemed beyond anyone’s reach. Trees big as castles, soil dark as midnight and leaves green as emlard, it was equally beautiful and dangerous.
Just like a paradox.
This was a place where you can easily get lost and never be found. Every step should be taken with cautiousness as only one mistake would be enough to take your life away.
But you must not fear. As your fear is your biggest enemy. You should learn to overcome it and always keep a note of your surrounding.
Anything can happen any moment. You can get ambushed or you can face predators prowling around this woodland.
You may have rubber bullets and tranquilizer but you are not fully safe. Even the rustle of leaves sent chills down your spine.
Kurt raised his hand in the air, making everyone stop on their tracks. The bushes in front of them kept whizzing, sending everyone in a loop of anxiety.
What it could be?
The rustling kept going higher and higher as everyone stood there in a defensive way with their breath stuck on their throat.
What was that?
Was it a predator with sharp teeth and claws? Or was it an attacker with knives ands guns?
Anything can happen now.
It was either do or die.
And then..
A small rabbit jumped out of nowhere scaring the shit out of Adrienne.
“What the fu…..” She yelped out in horror but stopped in her tracks when she noticed it was just a small furry animal.
“Come on man! Don’t scare me like that.” She scowled at Kurt and turned towards the bush.
“See there’s nothing.” She pointed at the bush.
“It was nothing but a little…” Her words got caught on her mouth when a black furry object jumped towards her in a fierce speed.
It knocked on her, tackling her on the ground.
“Adrienne!” Melissa screamed out as the boys ran forward to save her from that black beast.
But when they got to see what it was, shock painted their face quiet colorfully.
There was Adrienne, sprawled on the ground with a big dark dog on her, licking her furiously like there was no tomorrow.”
“Ahh. Gross! Just get it the fuck away from me!” Adrienne shrieked while trying get away from the wet creature.
Amusement danced on both Travis and Tyler’s eyes as the kept staring at the girl and the animal atop her.
“Looks like the dog likes it’s new friend.” Tyler mused lightly.
