BEA's POV
"K, what time is your flight?"
I ask her while munching some chips.
"Secret! I can't tell you!"
"What? Why not?" She shrugged and it's annoying. Serously. "Susunduin ka siguro ni Rex 'no?"
"WHAT? NO!" she shouts over the phone and it's my time to roll my eyes.
"Eh bakit ka defensive?"
"Kasi you're accusing me."
"Wow. Accusing. What a term. Is it some kind of a crime if he's really gonna fetch you?"
"But he's not. So stop it." I raise my hand as a sign of defeat. Kahit hindi niya naman ako nakikita. "Maiba nga ako, how are you there?"
"I'm fine."
"Fine? That's not enough answer. Come on, tell me how your week goes."
I sighed as I grab the phone from the table. Humiga ako sa sofa and I put my phone near my face.
Her 3 days stay there was extended for more than a week now. Today was supposedly her flight pero mukhang cancelled na naman.
"Well.. It was fine, really. I was always out so hindi ako nabo-bored dito."
"You're out? Alone?" nang-aasar na agad ang tono ng boses niya kaya napairap ako.
"I'm with Jho." I tried to sound casual, para lang hindi na siya mang-asar pero si Kianna nga pala ito.
"And...?"
"And.. her lola. Minsan I'm staying at their place for lunch or dinner."
Hindi ko napigilan ang ngiti ko matapos kong maalala yung nangyari kahapon.
I went to their place at around 10 am. Lola greeted me and told me to just went upstairs for Jhoana. I was expecting that she's already awake and just busy with her paper things, but to my surprise, Jhoana is sleeping peacefully.
She's hugging a winnie the pooh stuffed toy, while wearing a winnie the pooh pajama. I didn't expect to see that side of her so I took a photo.
I didn't wake her up, that time. Nakipagkwentuhan nalang ako kay lola, like what I usually do. She went down an hour later and was not really surprised to see me. Like she already expected me to be there, first thing in the morning.
We talked and ate like the usual for the past days, without her knowing that I just saw the cutest side of her. Most probably, the one I like the most..
"Hoy! What are you smiling at? I'm asking you, Beatriz. Did you sleep at Jhoana's place?"
I was back with my senses nang marinig ko si Kianna.
"What? No! I said I just ate dinner with them. I didn't.. ugh. why are you even asking that?"
"Well, that was supposed to be just a normal question, but then you started smiling like some type of a pervert guy. Eew. You're so creepy."
I heard her maarte voice kaya natawa nalang ako. I missed this girl. Hindi ako sanay na hindi siya kasama.
"Kailan ka ba kasi uuwi?"
"Miss mo na ko?"
"No. Walang naglilinis ng bahay. Go home now." Pero syempre hindi ko aaminin yun sa kanya.
