BEA's POV
"Will you go out with me?"
Her face was blank and I can't tell what she's thinking. My smile slowly fades away and I was about to say something but she started speaking.
"Go na.." I tried to figure out what she just said but I can't. I tilt my head in confusion. "Naka-Go na."
Then she points at the traffic lights while still looking at me. I let out an awkward laugh and drove away.
"Sorry.." was all I could say. It was so awkward that I didn't dare to talk anymore until we reached her house.
I parked the car but none of us are going out. I let out a deep sigh and unbuckle my seatbelt before facing her completely.
"Jho.." I called out pero hindi siya tumingin sa'kin. "What I mean is.. if you wanna go out with me next week.. Like our usual hangout.. I'm sorry if I made it sound like something else."
Napayuko nalang ako kasi hindi pa rin siya nagsasalita. Then she removed her seatbelt and went out of the car. Nag-panic ako at agad ding lumabas ng sasakyan.
"Jho I'm sorry.. please don't be mad." I held her hand pero binawi ko agad dahil baka mas magalit siya sakin. I stared at her when she suddenly burst out laughing.
I rub my nape, totally lost at the moment. Why is she laughing?
"Joke lang.." then she laugh again. "Alam ko naman na inaaya mo lang ako lumabas. It's not like you're asking me out on a date di'ba?"
She was smiling so wide na napangiti nalang din ako. I nod my head and let out a chuckle.
"Y-yes.. of course. Friendly date, nothing more.."
Tumango-tango siya while still smiling.
"Good. Then just text me kung kailan and saan." I nod and smiled at her. "Pasok ka muna?" she asks but I politely declined.
"Hindi na muna, I need to finish something for the shop. Pasok ka na, say hi to lola for me."
"Okay. Ingat ka ha, thank you sa paghatid."
"No problem. Pasok ka na." naglakad na siya paalis pero lumingon pa ulit bago buksan ang pinto. I smiled at her and she did the same.
"Goodnight, Beatriz." natawa ako at tumango nalang.
"Goodnight, Louisse." she waved one last time bago tuluyang pumasok ng bahay. I stared at their door for a few more seconds until I felt the chills as the wind blows.
