Bea's POV
"Rex.." I said interrupting their staring contest. "I see you know each other."
He let out a sigh before nodding.
"She's... I mean, they're my.." He stopped to look at the two. "Friends."
"Hell, no!" Julia said louder than the usual "I am not your friend and neither, Jho."
Julia is so scary right now, I can't even think of anything to say. She was looking intently at Rex na para bang gusto niya nang patayin sa tingin.
"I'm sorry."
"You are always sorry in everything." Julia answered and Rex was about to say something but Julia quickly raised her hand. "Save it. Puro kasinungalingan lang naman lumalabas sa bibig mo."
I saw how Jhoana held her friends hand, gently squeezing it probably to stop Julia.
I don't know what to say so I just sit there staring at Jho.
I'm sorry, Jho. I thought.
"Bea, I think we should go. May meeting pa kayo di'ba? "
I nod though my head is saying no, that I don't her to leave just yet. But I guess now's not the right time for that.
"You need to be at work, too. Right?" I ask kahit alam ko naman ang sagot.
The tension fell down when she smiled at me. Well, atleast for me.
"See you, next week?" she asks, still smiling. I return the favor and nod enthusiastically.
"I'll just text you. Ingat kayong dalawa." I look at Julia who's still frowning at the moment. "Julia.."
"Beatriz." she answered kaya medyo natawa ako.
"Drive safely."
She nod at nauna nang naglakad palabas.
"Sorry about that. Ingat ka rin, Bea." she stopped and look at Rex. "Bye, Rex. Nice to see you."
My eyebrows meet, unconsciously. 'Nice meeting your ex?'
"Thanks, Jho. Nice to see you too. And.. I'm sorry.. still."
"Don't be. Matagal na 'yon."
They both smiled and Jhoana look at me, one last time.
She said her goodbye bago tuluyang lumabas ng coffee shop.
There was this awkward silence for about a minute after the girls went out.
Rex, cleared his throat kaya napatingin ako sa kanya.
"So... Jhoana.." He said kaya napakunot ang noo ko. "You like her?"
Jhoana's POV
Kanina pa kami nasa kotse pero hindi pa rin pinapaandar ni Jia. Tinignan ko siya at bigla nalang siyang huminga ng malalim.
"Sorry." she said at napangiti nalang ako. I know why she's like that towards Rex. Kaya naiintindihan ko ang galit niya.
"It's okay, Ju. Pero hindi mo na kailangang mag-alala. Sinabi ko naman sa'yo, matagal na akong naka-move on."
"Pwes ako, hindi pa." she said at natawa na naman ako.
"Ikaw ba yung ex?" tinignan niya ko ng masama but I just shrugged. "Hindi mo kailangang ma-guilty. Matagal na yun."
"I'm not." agad na sagot niya at inabot ko naman ang kamay niyang nasa manibela.
