"Listen to me. Fox is okay. Bellamy saved her. He's gonna get some guns in here through the trash chute." Maya said, trying to speak through her panic induced tears.
"If we can get guns in, we can get you out." Jasper realized, his top priority clearly her.
"No, we can't. I dismantled the chute." Monty revealed guiltily. Taya sighed heavily. "I'm sorry. I didn't think we'd be trying to open it ourselves." Monty apologized before seeing the looks of dismay on Maya and Jasper's faces. "I can fix it." Monty promised before hurrying off, knowing they didn't have a second to waste.
"Come on, we gotta go help him." Taya said to Miller who then called for Harper as they hurried after the boy.

"She's almost out of oxygen. It's been 19 minutes." Harper called.
"You're not helping, Harper." Maya gasped.
"Don't worry, we'll get it open. Won't we Monty?" Jasper asked.
"Almost there." Monty replied, his brows furrowed in concentration.
"Almost isn't good enough." Miller told him.
"I just need to bypass—Oh!" Monty sprung back as the panel electrocuted him. "Screw this." Monty said angrily, ripping it off.
"The hell did you do?" Miller demanded, assuming Monty just made it worse.
"Cut power to the motor. Help me." Monty said and everyone rushed to help him yank it open manually.
"We can't get leverage." Monty grunted.
"There's someone in there!" Harper realized.
"They're coming in!" Jasper yelled and everyone backed up. Jasper and Taya raised their guns.
Bellamy burst out.
"Bellamy." Taya breathed, relief flooding over her as she lowered her gun.
"Get her in here." Bellamy turned to focus on Maya, knowing that that was the top priority right now. "Come on!"
"Go, go, go!" Jasper said as everyone helped Maya who was gasping for air.
Maya and Bellamy went down the shoot and Jasper followed. Without a second's thought, Taya sprung after them, sliding down the chute and barely making the cut off as they tumbled into a bin of sorts.
Jasper managed to get the suit off Maya in time and the two hugged.
"Taya?" Bellamy questioned, suddenly realizing she was there.
"Bellamy." She breathed and the two hugged tightly, Bellamy careful not to squeeze too tight, knowing about her injuries.
"I saw you on that table and I could do anything..." Bellamy confessed quietly, whispering it into her hair.
"I'm okay, i'm here." Taya reassured him, her hand on the back of his head, pulling him deeper into the crook of her neck to comfort him.
After a moment they pulled away.
Suddenly a door opened and a man walked in.
"Dad? What are you doing here?" Maya asked, still trying to catch her breath.
"What your mother would have done." Maya's dad said before they hugged. Jasper looked to Bellamy and with a relieved laugh, hugged his friend.
Taya managed to find her first true moment of happiness since entering the Mountain. It reminded her what she needed to fight for.
"Hey, listen to me. Clarke is coming with an army of Grounders." Bellamy said.
"What?" Jasper was shocked. Taya realized she probably should have mentioned that to the boy at some point.
"We just have to keep all of you safe till then." Bellamy said.
"Don't tell me Finn finally got his peace talks." Jasper grinned and Bellamy's eyes glanced to Taya, wondering why she didn't tell him. Truth be told, she knew the group couldn't handle any more bad news.
"Something like that." Bellamy seemed to realize it too as he also chose to hide the truth from Jasper. "Come on, we got a lot of work to do."
•••
"It's all clear." Bellamy announced as the group crept into the hall.
"Won't they see us?" Monty questioned, referring to the cameras.
"Relax, Maya took out the cameras." Bellamy reassured Monty.
"Yeah well we're still sitting ducks in a group like this." Miller commented.
"You're right, so we're gonna split up." Bellamy said.
"No. We do this together. We survive together." Monty shot the idea down.
"Bellamy is right." Jasper agreed.
"They don't trust Maya anymore. Who the hell's gonna help us now?" Miller asked. Bellamy didn't answer but instead nodded to follow him and as the group rounded the corner, then they saw his answer.
"They are." Bellamy said as they were met with a group of people, at its head Maya and her dad.
"We're gonna hide you. Not everyone here agrees with Cage. Not by a long shot." Maya announced.
"Come with me. We'll divide you along the way." Her dad said and the group pushed forward.
"Hey, we're coming with you." Jasper looked to Bellamy, not moving.
"No, you're not. They don't know I'm here. I need to keep it that way." Bellamy said sternly, causing Taya's heart to drop.
"So, what do we do?" Monty asked.
"Stay alive. Be ready to fight. War is coming." Bellamy promised and turned but Taya grabbed his arm. Monty and Jasper got the hint and hurried off.
"You stay alive too." Taya said and kissed him, making it as memorable as possible before they broke apart, hurrying off in opposite directions.
Now all she had to do was survive long enough to see him again.
