"Bellamy, we're going to die here, aren't we?" Taya asked, fear making the words hard to get out as they stood outside, waiting for the rest of the group to get up, weapons in hand.

"Taya, I won't let you die." Bellamy said, looking her dead in the eyes so she knew it.

"If they chip me and use me against you, let me die." Taya said with begging eyes. "Promise me."

"Taya I cant—." Bellamy started to shake his head.

"Promise me. It's what I want Bellamy." Taya said firmly. After a moment of confliction, Bellamy nodded.

"I won't let it get to that." He said just as firmly. The conversation ended as Octavia climbed up.

"Hey guys." She said before turning to help the others up. Once they were all good, they headed back to the throne room.

Bellamy opened the doors first, to see Abby up and about. Bellamy raised his gun.

"Hey, no. It's okay. I used the EMP. She's back." Clarke reassured them and they lowered their weapons.

"W-W-Well what about Ontari? Thought you said we had one shot with that thing." Murphy questioned.

"I told you, Ontari's no longer an option for the Flame. She's brain dead. Is the floor secure?" Clarke asked Bellamy.

"For now. Jaha and the guards are tied up in a bedroom." Bellamy nodded. Taya suppressed her naughty comment.

"We took out the elevator and the ladder as we climbed. The stairs are collapsed. No one's following us." Pike shook his head.

"Good. Then we have time." Clarke nodded.

"What we don't have is a way down." Murphy complained.

"Time for what?" Bellamy ignored Murphy, focusing on Clarke.

"An ascension ceremony." Clarke replied, but with that obviously came more questions.

"An ascension ceremony?" Murphy repeated, wondering if they all heard her right.

"You just said Ontari wasn't an option." Taya reminded her.

"And besides, she's still chipped, and we no longer have an EMP." Murphy pointed out.

"We're not putting the Flame in Ontari's head. We're putting it in mine." Clarke stated, shocking everyone.

"Clarke, that thing killed emerson in seconds, liquefied his brain." Bellamy reminded her, stepping forward.

"Emerson wasn't connected to a nightblood." Clarke responded confidently.

"Transfusion?" Pike questioned.

"Not exactly." Clarke shook her head.

"Connected like Mount Weather." Abby spoke up finally.

"Yes. Everything we need is in your med kit." Clarke nodded, turning to her mom.

"No. It's too dangerous, and there are too many variables." Abby shook her head, standing up.

"But no options." Clarke stood her ground.

"Whatever you're doing, you better do it fast." Octavia said, streaming into the room with a few others.

"Why? What happened?" Bellamy asked, naturally concerned.

"They're climbing." Octavia said grimly and they all hurried to the balcony. They looked down and saw that they were indeed climbing, with ladders or anything else they could find. It was truly terrifying in a way.
