"Ashton I like Calum."
Ashton's jaw dropped. How the hell he couldn't notice Luke starting to fall for Calum. He was really fine with Luke liking guys but he wasn't fine with Luke liking Calum. He could like anyone. Any other guy. But he had to like Calum. The guy who threw a phone to Luke's face when he got angry, the guy who let Luke got drunk at his first party. Okay he knew Calum cared about Luke but not in the same way as Ashton did. Calum is a troubled kid and can pull Luke in that way too. And Ashton didn't want that. After all they didn't even know Calum was feeling the same. What if he didn't feel the same as Luke? Luke will be heartbroken. He didn't want to see his bestfriend heartbroken. Luke was a sensitive guy. He was like a glass. He could break from a little crack. Just like the time Blake messed with him. He ended up drinking to avoid the pain. He didn't want that to happen once again.
''I-I I'm s-sorry. A-ashton. I'm so sorry.'' Luke said. He looked at Ashton's face. The impression on his face looked so different. Ashton looked like he didn't like the idea of Luke being gay. He got scared. He never thought of Ashton could be against gay people. He mentally slapped himself mentally. Ashton didn't look disgusted he looked a little scared? Luke started to panic. What if Ashton starts to hate Luke? He couldn't do anything. Ashton was Luke's only friend. Well other than Calum and Michael but they were different. Ashton was like Luke's brother. He didn't want to lose his brother. What would Luke do if Ashton left him? He would be lost.
Luke's scared voice made Ashton to come back to the moment. He looked at his blonde friend. He looked like he could start to cry at any moment and scared.
''Luke... I just... Don't be sorry.'' Ashton didn't know what to say. He was so confused. If he let Luke fall for Calum and Calum didn't happen to like Luke back Luke would lose his shit and Ashton would blame himself. In other hand if he doesn't let Luke fall for Calum he would feel guilty because in that case he would be stopping Luke from liking Calum and that could cause Luke to stop talking to Ashton. He would sound like he was against gay people. Ashton's eyes widened. That was why Luke looked so scared. He looked scared because he thought Ashton hated him because of his sexuality.
''I'm sorry Ashton.'' Luke said once again. Ashton closed his book and looked right into his blue eyed friend's eyes.
''Luke no. Please you don't need to be sorry about who you are.'' Ashton gave Luke a big smile. He heard the blonde guy sniffling.
''Y-you don't h-hate me?'' Ashton breathed out a 'no' before leaning and hugging Luke. After they pulled back Luke looked at his best friend's hazel eyes in a desperate way.
''Ashton, What am I gonna do?''
