Chapter 42

''I will be.'' Calum said and smiled.

Luke was sitting on his bed when his door was knocked. His dad soon opened door and looked inside as if he didn't know he was in there. Andrew looked at Luke just like if he was asking for permission. Luke nodded and put his MacBook on his bed next to him while his dad made his way to Luke's bed sat next to him. He put a hand on Luke's thigh and smiled.

''What's up dad?'' Luke asked. He knew his dad if he didn't have anything important to say he wouldn't come to his room and next to him while patting his thigh. Something was up but he didn't know what was that.

''You know I've met Calum.'' Luke's eyes widened. He was so sure that his dad liked Calum and accepted him. You could understand that from Andrew's face. But there was a little confusion on his dad's face.

''Yeah. You have and...'' Luke said as he let his sentence to be completed by his dad. ''I was wondering if Calum's surname is Hood and his mom's name is Joy.'' Luke was a little caught up with his dad's sudden interest in his boyfriend but he nodded at his words.

''His surname is Hood but I don't know his mom's name. He's never mentioned before neither talked about her except telling she left him all alone.'' He said feeling upset because his boyfriend went through so much shit. It was obviously making him sad. It was because of that woman Calum once called mom. All the insecurity and showing feelings and anger issues. He felt so much hate towards to woman he didn't even know. But if she caused so much bad stuff to happen to Calum then he sure was gonna hate her. She left Calum all alone. He had to get this out alive by only himself, Luke didn't even know how he managed to do that. He honestly couldn't get through a week without his dad at least calling him or having Ashton with him let alone live 5 years without no one and all this heartbreak.

''Do you know if the woman has dark hair and dark eyes along with a little dark skin but not black? If you saw any photo at Calum's house?'' Luke took a minute to think. He hasn't been to Calum's house that much. But he remembered once seeing a lady with a warm smile and dark hair hugging two little dark haired kids aswell, kids having huge smiles on their faces. Yeah he remembers that one. Those people should've been Mali-Koa, Calum and their mom. He was surprised that he never thought of that photo that much. He could clearly remember the genuine smile on the kid's faces. Especially Calum's. He would've give the worlds just to see him smiling like that again. But on the other hand he was sure as hell Calum wasn't able to smile like that again. He's lost so much to smile like that again. That smile was caused by love and purity of a child. It was so innocent. Luke smiled as he thought of baby Calum with chubby cheeks and his cute nose.

He nodded. ''Yeah I remember. She was just as you described it. Why though?'' Luke asked as his dad got up and made his way to outside of Luke's room. ''It's nothing.'' He smiled and closed the door after him. Leaving Luke all confused. He didn't know what just happened.

''Hey.'' Ashton said as he put a hand on Luke's broad shoulder, feeling a little uncomfortable because Luke's shoulder was so broad and his arm wasn't that long also Luke being a little taller than him cause a little trouble too. But Ashton actually didn't mind. He like wrapping his arms around his friend's shoulder an feeling like he was protecting him even though Luke was probably bigger than him.

''Hi.'' Luke said monotoned. They were going to cafeteria. It was lunch break and you could understand that Luke was hungry by the expression on his face. ''So you're hungry I'm guessing.'' Ashton said as he chuckled a little. He knew the other lad so well.

After they got their food they went to their table seeing Michael sitting there with his food quietly eating it. They were still aware of the fact that Micahel had become too more quiet since the trip. But they didn't have any idea how to get the old Michael back. They didn't even know caused this much damage on the boy's personality and behavior.
