Michael said and rushed out of the room with slamming the door behind him, leaving Calum alone with his thoughts.
It had been 3 hours since Luke ran away from their hotel and he was beyond cold. He was shaking and it was snowing but he only had a while plain shirt on beccause it was unexpected. He didn't know what to do. He didn't even know why he did ran away. Was he afraid of Calum? No he wasn't. All in all he clearly knew Calum wouldn't hurt him. He was sure of that. But he couldn't stand there listening to Calum saying he messed everything up. He didn't do it on purpose. It was all for him. He didn't want Calum to stand out there feeling really sick, barely standing up and waiting for a cab like that. He just wanted to help. But it wasn't something new. Luke was used to it by now. Whatever he does Calum always seems to find a flaw in it and get angry. He was really sick of it. He was really sick of Calum making him feel like a one use tissue. He wasn't a piece of paper he could use whenever he wanted and throw it away when he didn't want. He was a human and got feelings too. He didn't want to see Calum's face.
''Luke?'' Calum said behind Luke's back. He had been fighting with himself for like 2 hours. About his feelings and what to do with them. After what Michael said and thinking about it he decided that he was going to tell Luke about it. Maybe not the liking part of it but the part why he acted that way. He wasn't really sure about what to do. He hasn't opened up to someone about this before except Michael. But Michael was completely different than Luke. He knew Michael wouldn't get scared and leave him but Luke wasn't like that. One wrong word could scare him and make him leave. Calum didn't want that to happen. He wanted Luke to be with him and comfort him. Maybe forever. But forever is a powerful word.
Luke shivered when he heard Calum's voice. He knew someone gotta come for him and find him but he expected it to be Ashton not Calum.
''What are you doing here?'' Luke asked as he sniffled. He didn't want to face with Calum right now. After what he said to him. Calum came behind Luke and put a hand on Luke's broad shoulder making him jump. He pulled his hand back from Luke's shoulder but put the jacket he brought with him. He knew Luke left without any jacket and he was expecting him to be cold. After he put the jacket on Luke's shoulder he sat next to him.
''Um I'm sorry... for what I said earlier. I was- I just ugh I came here to explain you okay?'' Calum said as he exhaled deeply and looked at Luke who was looking down. ''Please I know I always act like a jerk around you but give me a chance to at least explain myself.'' Calum said and continued looking at Luke who was still not looking back at him. Calum think anything but grabbing Luke's cold hands into his and making him look at him. When Luke finally looked at Calum he nodded but looked down immediately.
''Remember Mali, my sister?'' Luke nodded and Calum carried on. ''Look I didn't tell you what happened to her. She um she died.'' Calum murmured. Even though he was somehow over it, it still hurt to say it out loud. Luke's head shot up immediately he heard Calum's words. ''An- and she died because of a car crash okay. She was walking next to me and suddenly she got off from my grip on her and she ran right into that street. I ran behind her to catch her but she was so far away. I shouted for her to stop but she didn't. Then I blinked and I heard her scream. She was under that car and lif- lying there lifeless. I- sh- just-'' Before Calum could finish his sentence he started to cry while Luke was watching. The whole story fit with the things Luke had seen. Luke's heart ached with the view in front of him. He had never seen Calum like this before. All he could do was hug him.
''I'm sorry. For being stupid.'' Luke said as he wrapped his arms around Calum. Luke was so surprised with Calum telling this to him. The last time Luke asked about Mali, Calum kicked him out of his house. He was really shocked with this confession. But Calum wasn't done. Calum opened once to Luke and he knew he wouldn't be this strong next time. So he decided to tell the other thing that was bugging his mind. He wiped his eyes and looked up to Luke who looked like somehow in pain. ''And when I see you there, I just thought that I will lose you like her. And I know this sounds crazy but feel like if that really hit you there I-I wouldn't be strong as the first time. I feel like it would hurt more than Mali's death.'' Calum tried to explain things to Luke but failed miserably.
