Dear the girl who is anxious to know about the hearing,

As you know, I had my hearing at the Ministry the other day. I've been let off with no charges and I'm allowed to go back to Hogwarts. I still can't believe it now. Fudge, who is the Minister and who was in charge of my hearing, didn't at all look too pleased to let me off. He kept trying to fight against me. And he would've succeeded if Dumbledore hadn't shown up. I didn't know he was turning up but I'm glad he did because I was fighting a losing battle.

It was weird though. After I had been let off, I called after Dumbledore but he ignored me and carried on walking. It's not like Dumbledore to do that at all. In fact I have a feeling he's been avoiding me all summer and normally me and Dumbledore have a very good relationship. I don't know whether to feel frustrated at him or confused. I honestly feel both. But at least I got let off, I guess.

And thank you El, I really appreciate it. I wish I could return the favour and say you're always welcome at mine but the Dursleys would never let that happen.

If I didn't have Hermione or Ron, I wouldn't have made it through these years at Hogwarts. It would've been impossible. But now I've got you too which is even better.

From what I've learned, a lot of Squibs are embarrassed to say that they are actually Squibs and a lot of them either just pretend to be Muggles or try and preform some magic and lie their way through life, claiming they are capable of magic.

And I can't say I agree with you there. I would love to have grown up in a big family. It would've been amazing. And Christmas at the Weasley's is incredible. I love it because it's just so busy.

What made me and Ron change our mind about Hermione? Well long story short, we helped Hermione and then she lied for us to stop me and Ron getting into serious trouble. That's what changed our mind because in that moment we realised that Hermione wasn't as stuck up as she came across to be.

I believe colored hair is allowed at Hogwarts, there is nothing against it on our acceptance letters. Besides we have Metamorphmagi in the wizarding world which are people who can change their appearance at will, and most of the time their hair changes colour depending on their mood. So because that's allowed, I don't see why dyeing your hair should be any different.

I agree with you. The excuse that schools make up is rubbish. How can someone's hair colour effect other people's learning?

Harry was going to tell Eleanor the truth about the Slytherin house. But then he thought why should he? Not all Slytherin's end up bad. Although the house does consist of insufferable gits like Malfoy.

To be honest, I reckon Slytherin would be a good match for you. Or Gryffindor, like I said before, you remind me a lot of Fred and George.

And what do you mean by that? Why is it so 'me' that I'm in Gryffindor?

I'm sorry about not following through with the plans to meet your parents. If those stupid Dementors didn't attack we wouldn't have been in this mess, and I could've gone. Though I will admit, I'm glad I've got a whole year to prepare for it now.

If there wasn't all this extra security around Hogwarts and times weren't so tough then maybe I would've considered smuggling you in. I could've gotten Fred and George to help me because I know they'd be up for the challenge.

Well in Defence Against the Dark Arts, we just learn a bunch of defensive spells and all about different creatures and how to protect ourselves against them but a lot of it is just learning spells to help us defend ourselves. We have many other lessons too.

We have Potions which is just learning about the effects different potions can have on somebody and how to brew them. We also have a lesson called Transfiguration which we learn how to transform objects into other things. For example we've learned how to transfigure a mouse into a cup. But yeah we have loads of different lessons, those were only some of them.

I don't get why Peter did what he did either. I would never have betrayed my friends like he did. He said it was because he was scared and that Voldemort was threatening to kill him but like Snuffles said at the time, I would've died rather than betray my friends.

I showed Snuffles the letter and what you wrote about him and he told me to tell you exactly this; he's thankful that you believe me and he hopes that you weren't too starstruck when you found out THE Sirius Black is my godfather.

I'm sorry on behalf of him. But after I showed him your last letter, he wanted me to show him the one when you found out he was my godfather and still thought he was a murderer. I hope you don't mind but Snuffles got a good laugh out of it if it's any consolation.

Love,

the boy who got let off.
