Dear the girl who thinks I'm perfect the way I am,

Dudley used to bully everyone and I was no exception. The teacher came and saw me on the roof before Dudley could get to me and by the time the teacher had seen me, Dudley and his gang had ran off. Uncle Vernon was not happy at all when he received the call from school that I was 'climbing school property.'

Oh yeah, I was so happy that Dudley got trapped in there too. That was until I realised that there would be consequences and that the Zoo maintenance crew eventually got Dudley out. That kind of ruined all the fun.

The Dursleys don't touch me now. They are too scared to since I started Hogwarts in case I use magic on them.

You don't need to worry about what they did in the past, they barely acknowledge my existence anymore which is a definite improvement. I am safe at the Dursleys. They might be horrible but if anyone thought I was in immediate danger then I would be taken out of there. I haven't told anyone because everyone knows what the Dursleys are like. Why do you think Ron's family try and get me out of the Dursleys company as soon as possible?

Thanks for the offer but truly El, I'm fine. You know me, I wouldn't let the Dursleys do anything to me now.

Okay, so you'd want to die in an exciting way. But surely you'd want to live a long life opposed to one that is short and already planned out for you?

Cool. We can try and arrange for you to come over sometime in the summer then.

I agree that flying broomsticks is a bit on the nose, even for the wizarding world but its really fun so I'm not complaining.

You really don't want to know what the other two Unforgivable curses are and I'll spare telling you. But in my opinion the last two are worse than the Imperius Curse.

Sometimes I do wish I could join your school and just be an ordinary Muggle. Honestly, if I were to join now though, I think I'd be rubbish. I don't know half as much about the Muggle world as I should and I have 5 years of Muggle school to catch up on and honestly, I really can't be bothered for that.

Oh, you're going to expose the wizarding world, are you? And who do you expect to believe you? We'd both probably get locked up for being insane. Mind, the Muggle world will have a hard time finding me because I'll be hidden in the wizarding world. So do you really want to just bring yourself down? Because you exposing the wizarding world wouldn't effect me at all. So nice try El, but you're going to have to try harder than that.

A bit weird but not as weird as me hating the fact that you haven't stopped talking about this one boy to Cass. Who is he anyway?

Harry was too tired to focus on what he was writing. All he knew was that he was writing the first thing that came to his head when reading El's letter. His mind was elsewhere, focused on the anger he was feeling for Umbridge's injustice.

You're way too sarcastic for your own good, you know that right?

You always have a way with words that makes me feel a lot better about myself. If anyone else had said that then it probably wouldn't have had any effect on me. But you just have a way of saying things that really help. Thank you, El.

I had another detention with Umbridge that's why I was up so late. You don't need to tell me to look after myself, tell her. The old toad is pure bloody evil. I don't even think I despise Voldemort as much as I hate this woman and he's the one trying to bloody kill me.

Anyway, I'm going to go. It's late again and I'm practically falling asleep while writing this. And don't worry El, you're worth all the late nights I spend writing these for you.

Love,

the boy who writes letters late at night for you.
