A few days later. At the bunker.

I walked into the control room and over to my phone which was lying next to Dean's phone which was charging.

Dean's phone started to ring.

I answered "hello?"

Guy " Can i speak to D-Dawg?"

Me "I'm sorry, there's no, uh...there's no D-Dawg-"

My jaw dropped "Wait ,Sonny?"

Sonny chuckled "Smiley ?"

I smiled "hey-"

Suddenly Dean showed up behind me and took the phone from me "Here, i got it.

I shot him a look.

Then put the phone to his ear "Sonny. Hey, so, what's up? okay. All right, yeah, just sit tight. I'll be there as soon as i can. Yeah"

Me "Could you be more aggressive?"

Dean "Sorry"

Sam "What was that, D-Dawg?"

Dean "Remember that spring in upstate New York when we were kids?"

Sam looked confused.

Dean "Dad was on a Rugaru hunt, we crashed at the, uh, at the Bungalow Colony with the ping-pong table?"

Sam nodded "Yeah. You disappeared. Dad came back, you were gone. He shipped me off to Bobby's for a couple months but Elena was gone too which was weird. And went and found you, you were lost on a hunt or something and Bobby told me you, Elena, were out hunting with my dad since you were more skilled then i was"

Dean "That's what we told you. Right"

I nodded "Yeah, i remember"

Sam asked confused "what do you mean?"

Dean "truth is, i lost the food money that Dad left for us in a card game. I knew you'd get hungry, so, i called Elena who showed up and tried to win the money back but failed and lost her money"

I nodded "yeah, the first and the last time i lost money in a card game. Dad didn't know where i was since i snuck out and i stole one of his cars"

Dean nodded "Yeah. So she and i tried taking the five-finger discount at the local market and got busted"

Sam raised his eyebrows.

Dean "We weren't on a hunt. They sent us to a boys' home."

I nodded.

Sam "A boy's home, like a reform school?"

I nodded "yeah, more than less. It was a farm and the guy who ran it, Sonny, he, you know, he looked after us. "

Sam "wait, does Sonny know what we do?"

Dean nodded "Yes, he's good people. I gave him the number to the Bat phone"
