Sam and i were leaning against the hood of the car.

Dean carried a tray of take-out food " All right, here we go. "

He leaned his back against me and i put my arm around his shoulder.

Dean "You know... even though the world is going to crap, there's one thing that I can always count on – these things tasting the Same in every drive-through in every state in our great nation. "

He took a bite of a taco and moaned "Mmm."

My phone rang and i answered it "Annie?"

Annie "Hey, Elena. "

I smiled "A nice surprise. How you been? "

Annie " Oh, I'm still kicking. So, good, I guess. Heard about your dad. I'm sorry. "

I nodded "Yeah. Us too. What's up? "

Annie " Well, I got some of his old books. I thought maybe you'd want 'em. "

I nodded " Yeah. Sure. Where you at? "

Annie "Bodega Bay. Crow's Nest Inn."

Me "You working? "

Annie "Always. You and the brothers anywhere nearby?"

Me "Near enough. "

Annie "Cool. Why don't we meet at the Pier Front Restaurant – lunch?"

 Me " 1 o'clock? "

Annie "Yeah. Bye. "

Then i hung up and looked at the boy "Guys, we have a date"

Next day. Pier front restaurant.

I was sitting next to Dean wile Sam was across from me.

Sam was looking at the menu while Dean was reading a newspaper.

I was playing something on the phone.
