"(Y/N)?" Jeff mumbled.
"I'm here," I said, holding his hand. We were in the infirmary, which was in the basement.
"Come here," he pulled me close. He was surprisingly strong considering he got stabbed in the lung.
He hugged me tightly. I couldn't help but hug him back. I felt bad for him. He wasn't used to being stuck inside the basement.
"I love you," I said.
"I love you more," he replied fiercely.
"I love you most." I pressed my lips to his forehead.
I started to walk away when I heard a raspy "Don't leave me."
I turned around and came back to him. "I won't."
He pulled me in and crashed his mouth into mine.
Just then Eyeless Jack walked in.
"Woah, didn't need to see that," he said, shielding his nonexistent eyes.
"Sorry," I apologized.
"It's fine. Just checking in on Jeff."
"Okay, well I'm fine and was having a moment with my girlfriend," Jeff added, clearly annoyed, "Can you get me some beer?"
Did he call me his girlfriend? Holy fuck. Didn't know he considered me that...
"Jeff. Beer is bad for your liver. Do you want to die from liver cancer?"
"If anything, I'll die from a stab or bullet wound long before anything liver-related."
"Alright, it's your liver," he replied, going back upstairs. He came back a couple of minutes later with two beer bottles and handed them to Jeff.
"Finally," Jeff said, popping one open. He guzzled the whole thing like it was water.
"Damn. How much beer do you drink?" I asked
"About ten bottles a day," he responded casually as if it was normal.
"Holy shit, Jeff! That's way too much!"
"Eh, I used to have more."
"Damn, When did you start drinking so much?"
"As long as I can remember."
"Well then."
"What?"
"Nothing."
"Ookay..." he trailed off.
"So, how are you?"
"Considering I got stabbed in the lung by a big ass knife, I would say pretty bad."
"Right. Well, are you feeling better?"
"Yeah, I think I could run a few laps before I would start hurting. But hey, I love pain."
"Okay, well that's good that you feel good. Since when have you liked pain?"
"Since, well, since as long as I can remember"
I stayed silent for a few minutes. It was a lot to take in.
"So, what exactly caused you to kill?" I asked.
"These urges I got. They were few and far at first, but then they became stronger and more frequent. I ignored them until I got mugged, then I acted out on it and got my brother in jail," Jeff explained, "then I went to a party and killed the boys one by one. You know the rest."
