After we had finished breakfast, Jeff and I went off to the training room on Slenderman's orders.
"So... I assume you enjoyed last night? You were moaning your head off," he chuckled
"What do you think?" I asked, smiling.
"I would think yes?"
"You are correct."
"So, what do you need to work on?" Jeff questioned once we arrived in the training area.
"Well, I'm not fast to think, so I keep getting struck down either by a swift punch to the gut or a kick to the shins."
"Well, I can try punching you, and we can practice blocking and having a quick mind."
"Okay, so, when do we start?"
"Now," he stated as he threw an uppercut punch to my stomach. It hurt like hell, but I could tell he was trying to be gentle.
"Rule number one: never be off guard."
"But-"
Kick to the shins. I held my sore shin and hobbled around on one leg for a few seconds, then Jeff pushed me over and got on top of me.
"Rule number two: Don't let the pain register. Just ignore it."
"Dammit."
Jeff attempted to hit me again, but this time I was expecting the move and blocked it.
"Good. Let's see if you can block this!" and with that, he kicked my knee and yanked my hair, pulling me into a headlock. But I was going to follow rule number two. I wasn't about to let the pain register.
So instead, I kicked him in the balls. He instantly let go and doubled over.
"That's... Not what I was... Expecting... But good for you... For thinking outside... Of the box," he managed.
"Sorry, babe."
"No... It's fine," Jeff stood back up after a few minutes. I didn't kick him hard, I just surprised him.
After a few minutes, he was back to standing straight.
"Okay, now that I've recovered, let's continue."
"Can do, I'm ready," I said, finally feeling the pain. I tried to ignore it.
Then, Jeff tackled me to the ground. He placed his knife just above my forehead.
"You're dead!" he announced, getting off of me.
"Huh? But, I didn't even get a chance."
"Exactly. You don't always get a chance when you're fighting. Sometimes the fight isn't fair."
"You can say that again. I learned when we were kidnapped."
"Yeah, I don't want to think about that..."
"Sorry, didn't mean to bring it up."
"Hey, chill. It's fine," Jeff pulled me into a nice long hug.
I embraced him tightly. "I love you."
"I love you, too."
"Sorry about the kick to the balls... again..."
"Again, it's fine. It didn't hurt as much as it did when you kicked me when we were doing those tests."
"Oh, yeah! I totally forgot about those tests!"
"I haven't! I loved working with you."
"Well, that's nice to hear."
