Chapter: 12
I wake up and grab my phone, I fell asleep last night cause I was exhausted. It's 10am, the house is quiet. I get up. Or at least I try. Colby did me hard, my legs are so sore. I walk downstairs and make breakfast, I then start cleaning up, I play music cause it makes cleaning more fun. I'm dancing and singing along to the songs and doing my thing. I look at the time its 12:30, Shit i have a doctors appointment at 1pm. I run up the stairs and barge into Colby's room
"WAKE UP SLEEPY HEAD I GOT A DOCTORS APPOINTMENT" i yell and rip the blankets off of him, hes only wearing a pair of sweat pants.
"Ughhhhh 5 more minutes" He rolls over onto his stomach. I jump on his bed and i start to shake him, he doesnt budge. I lay beside him and sigh.
"I shouldnt have done that" My legs start to hurt more, I look over at Colby he has a cheeky grin on his face.
"Get up we have to go" I whisper to him.
"I need a kiss first" He has his eyes closed and his lips puckered
"Oh grow up" I smack his shoulder. I get up and start to walk away but my legs dont agree. So i end up walking slowly with a sour look on my face.
"Oh now i see" Colby winks at me. I roll my eyes,
"We leave in 10" I say to Colby and walk out. I put on a black t-shirt, black ripped jeans, black converse, and put a black plain baseball cap on. I grab my phone and head downstairs and see Colby at the table looking at his phone. Hes wearing a black shirt with maroon jeans and a maroon beanie, also black converse. I tried not to stare but i couldnt help myself. He looks up at me and smirks
"Ready?" He gets up and grabs his keys
"Yup" I get out of my zone and go to the car with him.
"Can i play music on the way back?"
"Sure" he smiles at me, and it blows me away, just like every time he smiles.
*after doctor*
"Finally" I say rubbing my wrist
"That thing was super itchy"
"Sorry again, it was my fault" He says going into the car
"No it wasnt stop blaming yourself, anyways you already made it up" I look at him and wink then buckle my seat belt. He doesnt say anything he just blushes, I grab the aux cord and play my music and we start driving.
"Ocean Eyes" By Billie Eilish starts to play.
"Ive been watching you for some time, cant stop staring at those ocean eyes..." I think of the lyrics and look at Colby.
"This song really reminds me of you" I smile at him
"Really?" I shake my head agreeing and sing the lyrics
" No fair, you really know how to make me cry, when you gimme those ocean eyes, Im scared, ive never fallen from quite this high, falling into your ocean eyes, those ocean eyes" I notice Colby looking at me. I dont look at him cause i'm embarrassed. I avoid eye contact at all cost, I know we are going to be home soon, probably after this song so i just keep listening to the song.
"This high, falling into your ocean eyes. Those ocean Eyes" and with that the song is over and we pull into our driveway. I put a strand of hair behind my ear and look at Colby, he looks like hes in deep thought.
"Thanks for the ride" i say breaking the silence,
"Yeah anytime" He whispers and looks at his hands in his lap
"Thank you," He looks up at me
"Uh for what?" I ask
"Not hating me"
"What do you mean?"
"My dad got remarried before youre mom too and that lady had two teenage girls, and the hated me and were mean to me, and i was only 14 so i couldnt do much, so i had to take the pain."
He looks back down at his hands, hes fumbling with his rings. I quickly take my hand and lift his chin back up to have him look at me. I smile and say
"No fair, You really know how to make me cry, when you gimme those ocean eyes" He smiles at me and i let go of his face, wishing i hadnt. We go inside and sit on the couch, I get a text message from Valery.
Val: wanna go to a party tonight?
Willow: hell yeah!
Val: Ill pick you up at 8;)
Willow: k
I look up from my phone smiling, what am i gonna wear?
"Going to a party later, Val is picking me up" I say to Colby
"Oh, ok"
"Is that fine...?"
"Yeah, I dont care" I can tell hes hiding something, but i just shrug it off.
Hopefully nothing goes wrong.
