Don't we all wish we were given a trial run of love?
A heart we can give out ...
One made of styrofoam...
Wouldn't that be easier?
Wouldn't that make falling in love.... less of a fall?
Let's have a practice run.
A rehearsal, you could say.
A practice heart so that we can keep our tender heart at bay.
My figurative heart isn't metaphorical at all. It's real.
It's real.
Don't make a song of my pain.
Don't make me write another poem.
I fall on my knees.
Skinned just like my tender heart...
Build me a practice heart!
Give it. Please.. I'm tired.
This thing inside me is wrecked.
It all hurts too much...
How much do you want?
How much should I pay you?
Just give me a practice heart.
Just give me a trial run of love.
