Chapter 80: Learning a lesson

An unknown time later

"Urrrggghhh..." My eyes opened to a blurry and dimmed scene. Ow, my head...I blinked a few times to clear my vision and gasped when I realised where I was. I'm in a cell!? Why am I trapped inside a cell?! I stood up from the corner I was laying in and heard a metallic clatter. I looked down to see a shackle around my left ankle. The chain it was connected to was long, but obviously not long enough for me to reach the bars. I also noticed there was a futon in the room. I went over and sat on it while I went over things in my mind. This man just comes out of nowhere and kidnaps me, he didn't do it for no reason. I mean, he has to have a reason for this...I just didn't know what that reason was. Unless...! He's the one who's been kidnapping women! The one Ginsuki warned me and Heisuke about! I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice a man coming up to my cell until he had banged against the bars.
"You're awake, good. That blow to the head didn't keep you out for as long as I thought it would. You're tougher than you look woman"
"Of course I am, I'm no pushover like some of the other women you kidnapped!"
"Indeed you're right, to some extent. I don't kidnap these women myself, are you mad? I have a reputation to uphold. That job is left to my trusty hired hands" Looks like I was right, he is the one behind the women's disappearances...
"Can't do your own dirty work, so you're a coward too huh?"
"Oh dearie" He chuckled before continuing. "You're not like some of the other women I've had kidnapped, you're much more extraordinary" He unlocked the cell door and stepped inside. "And you'll look even more extraordinary in my private quarters"
"I'm not going anywhere 'private' with you!"
"I'm afraid you won't have a choice in the matter" He moved forwards towards me with a fist raised, inside it was a syringe full of a clear liquid. Oh hell iie! I ducked to avoid his fist before kneeing him in the crotch and punching him in the stomach. His grip slacked as he slid down to the ground, unconscious. "I think you'll find I do have a say in the matter" I smirked before I felt around until I found where he was hiding the keys. I unlocked my shackle and ran out of my cell. When I did, I saw many more cells with various women in them. I can't just leave them here to suffer...So let's break them out! With determination fuelling me, I used his keys to free all the women he had locked up. Which was fifteen in total, sixteen if you counted myself. "Come on, we have to run!" I made sure all fifteen of the women had past me before running to join them. We ran up stairs and found ourselves in a small storage room. We quickly left and managed to find our way to the entrance. We gasped when we finally made it outside. The building we were trapped in, or should I say under, was in the middle of a forest.
"Which way do we go now?!" Several women asked worriedly. I certainly had no clue which way to go and even if I did, my terrible sense of direction would get us lost anyway.
"Excuse me?" A timid looking woman tapped me on the shoulder and I turned to face her.
"Hai, nani is it?"
"Kon'nichiwa, I am Miyu. I know the way back to town. They didn't use enough sedative on me so I was conscious when I was brought here. I remember the way very well"
"Great, you can lead us back!" I put my hands around my mouth to amplify my voice; "Minna! Quieten down and listen up!" That managed to get everyone's attention and they all stopped talking at once. "This woman knows how to get back to town! She'll lead us and the rest will follow!" Everyone nodded and I gestured for Miyu to take her place at the front of the group.
"Okay minna, f-follow me!" Just as we started to run, I was suddenly grabbed by an arm wrapping around my neck. The front of the group kept running, not noticing my plight. That left eight women behind, they had definitely noticed the trouble I was in.
"Oh no!" The smaller group exclaimed.
"You all belong to me! Now get back in your cells or your 'saviour' gets it!" They all stopped, but made no move to follow his orders. It was crystal clear that they were afraid of him and wouldn't dare attack him, but they also didn't want the person who set them free to die.
"What are you all doing? Don't listen to this baka idiot! Run! Follow Miyu and the rest of them to get back to town!"
"Damare woman!" He tightened his grip around my neck and it became a little harder to breathe.
"B-But what about you?" One woman asked.
"A-After you lead minna to town, find a man called Toudou Heisuke and tell him where I am...!"
"B-But-!" Another tried to speak up in protest, but was cut off by the man shouting angrily;
"That's it!" He tightened his grip to the point where I couldn't breathe. Still, I had to get them to run.
"Run...then find him...you have to...!" My vision began to darken.
"Minna, come on!" I saw them all nod to each other before running off. Good...Now I've just got to hold out until Heisuke...gets...here...I lost consciousness.
