Chiyeko has admired the Shinsengumi ever since she first heard of them. So when a trip to Kyoto goes wrong and causes her to cross paths with her heroes multiple times, how will she react?
This trip to Kyoto throws the peaceful life of Chiyeko into...
{Heisuke and I had our wedding, shortly after he proposed to me. A few months after in fact. We invited new friends and old to join us for this momentous occasion. It was nice to see some old faces, like Harada and Nagakura. As well as close friends, such as Sen, Kimigiku and Kinu.
I had invited Chikage and company to the wedding, but Shiranui was the only one who could manage to make it. I knew Chikage showing up was a long shot considering we'd said our goodbyes to one another. Although to my surprise, he did send us a wedding gift which made me smile. Even if we can't be with one another, it's heartwarming to know that we still have each other's backs.
It's been a few months since then and during that time we went to a doctor and confirmed our suspicions, I WAS pregnant. I was ecstatic, but I swear to God Heisuke was WAY more excited than me and as this was my first child, that's definitely saying something. I suspect it was because he never expected to father a child, let alone live long enough to father one. But like I promised myself; I'll do anything to make sure Heisuke experiences a normal life as much as possible.}
"Heisuke, you do realise how annoying-not to mention weird-it is to walk around with a blindfold?" "Hang on a little longer, please? We're almost there, I promise" "Fine..." I sighed in defeat. "What's the big surprise anyway?" "If I told you, it wouldn't be a big surprise now, would it?" "Point taken" A few minutes of walking blindly later, Heisuke finally stopped me. "Okay, imma remove the blindfold now" He untied the piece of cloth around my eyes and I finally was allowed to open them. What I saw when I did so made me gasp. "I remember you saying that you've always wanted to see them in bloom, even though you claim to not like flowers all that much" "Heisuke..." "I knew they'd be blooming today, it was just a matter of finding a place where we could be alone to watch them bloom" "Heisuke, I-" "I had to make sure we left early to arrive here on time. Can you imagine if we arrived late and missed this? I-" "Heisuke!" "Nani?" "Just damare and kiss me you lovable idiot" "O-Oh, right. Gom-!" I kissed him deeply before he could go off talking again. A few seconds later-after his surprise wore off-he kissed me back. This lasted for a few pleasurable moments until we were interrupted by the need to breathe. "Arigato gozimasu for taking me here Heisuke" "Well, it was nothing really..." His attempts at being nonchalant were foiled by his obvious embarrassed state. "It was something Heisuke. It was something that you planned for me and that on its own makes it incredible" "Well in that case...You're very much welcome, my lovely wife" "I couldn't ask for a more caring husband" "Oh stop, you're making me blush" Just then a breeze blew past causing the tree branches to shake. As a result, it began to "rain" cherry blossom petals. "Whoa...!" I looked around in awe. "It's beautiful..."

"It really is..." He stated in agreement after putting his hand around me. I looked up at him with a smile before resting my head against him while we watched it rain cherry blossoms together.
