Forgive Me

*Peach's POV*

Time seemed to pass very slowly as me and Pichu made our way through the stone halls of one of Bowser's many castles.
Every turn we made we expected a fight, but surprisingly there wasn't ever one to be had. Not that I would complain about that of course, yet it was still odd.

What made up for the lack of enemies though we're the many traps placed throughout the castle. There were so many times where me and Pichu almost ended up being the lava's dinner or having our hair/ears almost cut off or singed.

Nevertheless, we passed any challenge that came our way. Nothing was gonna get in the way of me saving Mar- I mean our friends. I am sure Pichu feels the same.

After bypassing another lava pit trap, me and Pichu ended up at split in the hallway. Now we had to make a choice. Either the left hall or the right hall...

"Well, what do you think Peach?" Pichu asks looking up at me.

"I don't know... And it's not like we can split up either. We'd both be at risk of being in danger." I reply.

Pichu closed his eyes and began to think for awhile. I followed Pichu in it's actions and did the same.

'What could we do? If we pick the wrong one, we could end up in trouble rather then finding our friends....if we choose the right one, we could still be in trouble but at least find a friend....'

"I got it!" Pichu yells out causing me to open my eyes and step back surprised.

"Shhh!" I quickly say and Pichu rubs the back of it's head awkwardly.

"Oops...sorry.." Pichu apologizes with a lower tone of voice.

"It's ok, I don't think anyone heard us. Go on and explain your plan." I say.

"Ok, you can choose a side and I will choose a side and we can both play rock, paper, scissors to see what side to go with."

"Sounds like a plan. I will go with right and you can do left." I say and Pichu agrees.

We begin to play rock, paper, scissors but soon stop when we hear voices coming from the left hallway.

Not too long afterwards, I was met with something or someone rather large crashing into me.

*Bowser's POV*

"There are sure a lot of secret entrances in this place. Why so many though?" I hear Marth ask behind me as we continue to run down the halls of my castle to rescue all his friends and get them the hell out of here.

I turn my attention towards him as I continued to run in the same direction we were going.
"They were all helpful to get around in the castle. Especially when I was chased around by a plumber in red." I replied.

"And the lava?" He continued to question.

"It helped for him too though I don't exactly have all good memories with it, it still makes the place look cool." I answer.

"And why exactly did the "plumber in red" chase you?" He asked.

"Well, that's actually because-" I was cut off before I could finish that. I seemed to have crashed into something. Funny cause I don't remember anything being placed here and it was certainly not a wall. It went down way too easily.

"Ugh, get off me! Your too heavy!" I hear a voice say underneath me.

Wait a minute! I know that voice!
I look underneath me and jump up quickly off the person I had crashed into. And the person I crashed into certainly recognized me and was just as shocked as I was.

"Peach?!" I yell out.

"Bowser?!" She follows up with.

"Marth?!" A yellow creature yells out.

"Pichu?!" Marth finishes.

I didn't think my blood could run cold from fear, but I am sure it did now.

"Peach, before you say anything-" I begin. I could see all the anger form in Peach as it was clear on her face and she was beginning to take a defensive position.

Pichu had hopped on to Marth and greeted him happily. Now they just watched the exchange between me and Peach.

"I just want to apologize for my actions and I hope you can forgive me. I have no excuse I can make for this and I hope I will be able to make this up to you." I finish looking down.

"Why the sudden change of heart?" Peach asks as she released what seemed to be a sigh of frustration.

"Let's just say, I have opened my eyes to see the cruelness of our actions and what we are doing and I have what you call a friend to thank for that." I answered as I looked up toward her, looking at her directly in the eyes as if she could see right through them to tell if I was telling the truth or not.

She sighed once more and seemed deep in thought.
"I am going to choose to trust you, Bowser, but one wrong move and you will regret it."

"Deal, I thank you Peach." I say with a smile.

After that, tension dropped and Peach ran into Marth's arms to embrace in a hug.

"Don't think I forgot about you...I missed you..." Peach seemed to whisper out to Marth.

Marth hugged Peach back with Pichu still on his shoulder and Pichu watched them.

"I missed you too." Marth barely whispered out. They sat there for awhile in an embrace until Marth broke it.

"Now, let's go save the rest of our friends. Lead the way Bowser!" Marth yelled out and I nodded in agreement.

I hope you all enjoyed this Chapter! I am probably going to make the update now a once a month thing mainly due to how busy it's been. I do hope you all won't be mad with that. I haven't given up on this yet and I don't believe I ever will.
